I have my grans "hostess" pressure cooker.. I like it..
However, I like my slow cooker because, as mentioned above.. I can add the ingredients and leave it cooking away all day whilst I am out.. And meat is always very tender.. Chicken is fall off the bone, and I think the food has lots of flavour. Supposed to be an economical way of cooking too..

My Mother's pressure cooker used to scare the bejasus out of me too, so I never embraced the concept.  Now the slow cooker, there's a piece of equipment!  I have three.  It wasn't all success from the off, and there were times I thought I'd never get it right, but with priactice and experimentation I now produce meals that satisfy the most demanding of palates (mine and my ex's).
