I have just spent all day traipsing about to get to Wrexham hospital to have this ultrasound injection thingy, only to be told by the doctor that after the scan they found that there wasn't any inflamation so I didn't need the injectionsuprised 2 smiley.gifseems that whatever it is that's wrong with my foot it isn't the plantar fasciitis after all. (He said he'll report back to the consultant who then will probably think it over and forget all about me)......gawd!!!!!!! how frustrated can one coo feel?????

still means I 've got a sore hoof though....bored smiley.gif

Re: for goodness sake!!!!!

There was about 4 that I can remember. One is to stand on a stair step and drop your heels. She had me do repeats of 5 every day of them.  Another was to put one foot on a chair and the other flat on the floor and stretch sort of. Another is to put one foot forward and the other back. The forward one is up against the wall and you push into the wall and stretch the back leg. And along the same lines you turn your front foot inwards and do the stretch. The one that seems to do the best was the dropping the heal down from the step. Apparently the tendon between your heal and ball of the foot doesn't relax. So is stretched all the time or something like that. And by doing the stretches it stretches it a bit more to help it relax. I think tomorrow I may well start the stretches here again as they are really aching tonight.

Re: for goodness sake!!!!!

Glad that your foot is feeling a bit better today CB.  Why shouldn't we be concerned over you?  You know what we are like on here - if someone isn't feeling well, we are all here with tea, sympathy and plenty of hugs.

Re: for goodness sake!!!!!

Caps, I would check with your doc first to see if he thinks it is okay for you. I have had foot pain for at least 30 years. I have almost always had jobs on my feet. I find cold seems to help too. I will sometimes soak them in cold water. There were some more things on stretches if you do a search. One suggests freezing a water bottle and rolling that under your foot. I might give that a try here.
