my first time out since 24th December, I had to go the retinopathy clinic today so we had an outing wooopppieeee!!.....it poured down the whole time.

What with wheelchairs to get me up the slope to the hospital door, crutches to hobble about inside reception, more slopes to go and get the drops in your eyes, then back to reception, then down the slope again to get the pictures done, beejeebers OH was knackered!!!!

Didn't do so badly though, not much pain in the hoof, so that's good. At least I didnt' fall over!!!

Aah yes ! The eye clinic. The once a year torture of the eye drops, that sting like hell& leave you for at least eight hours with pupils resembling a rabbit caught in the head lights. No wonder you were tired, well done& glad your clay is getting better.

Nice one CB, I know it well, not for me but for my dad he has glaucoma so makes quite a few visits, sometimes it takes minutes, sometimes hours. At least you have been out in the fresh air.

ah yes...fresh air!! OH has promised me he'll take me out on Monday for fish and chips, I won't have to get out of the car then......lovely.

And in olden days, the laydees used to put drops of belladonna in their eyes, just to look like said rabbits - or does - although they didn't have headlights.

I've had it once and that was enough to last me a lifetime.

Looked in the mirror when I got home and didn't so much look like a doe-eyed lovely as one of the evil undead.

I've had it done once and am due to again in a couple of weeks. The effects of the

stinging drops only lasted just over an hour.

I'd go bonkers (well, more bonkers than usual) if I didn't go out for that long.

My little kitten is trying to photocopy himself. Dabbing the buttons whilst

sitting on the printer! He's a complete fruit loop he is!

Glad that you managed to get out CB. I'm taking mum for a food shop tomorrow and she's looking forward to it. It's little outings that you'll love the most.

Wish I could have got a piccy Captain, but I wasn't quick enough. You could almost

have had a photocopy of him though!

I haven't forgotten your glass birdies by the way, I'm hopefully going to remake them

for you within the next few days. Twishy's too. I made a heart today but it's awful!

It affects people differently , it can last up to eight hours, it's nice to know there is a select number of the the scary eyes club. lol
