Fridays, fullsome, fanciable fodder

Tonight we are having Liver and Onions, cooked in the cook pot, wonderful smell wafting around the house. Son has gone to work in disgust, muttering something about bloomin liver for tea. I have done him something different, but I don't normally.

Just made OH some custard for his tea, served it up and then went back into the kitchen and went to put the custard powder back in the cupboard when I spied the Best before date, 17th November 2011. Oopsie Daisy. Should I tell him?

Does anyone make their own wax melts?

I am going to try and make my own as buying the lovely Y*nkee melts is becoming expensive. I was wondering if anyone has some advice on the more stronger fragrances to use. I love the more defined strong aromas whether it be fruity or floral.Thanks.
