do you collect anything special?
I just wondered if you have an item that sparked off a collection for you. With me it was a cow creamer and I had over 100 when we moved, cow ornaments as well as creamers. I have had to get rid of some as we don't have the room now.
I also collect one pattern of blue and white china with cows on.
How about you?

Beatrix Potter ornaments from Beswick,Royal Doulton and Royal Albert
All started as I had been given 2 as a child for my christening and then as an adult one was broken when I moved so S replaced it for me and the ball rolled from there

Must admit that I don't really collect anything. We only have a small two bedroomed bungalow and there isn't a lot of room.

Teapots, mugs, cruets, fridge magnets, books and cuddly toys
Teapots started when I inherited an old one from my grandmother
Mugs when I won one back in the 70s as finishers award in a motorcycle rally
Cruets when I saw a bulk lot on sale on here
Fridge magnets when someone brought me one back from holiday
Books, when I married in 1989 and my husband brought a lot with him
Cuddly toys when my husband gave me a blue teddy bear in 1990
All are on display on shelf units

tell me about it Chris! we have a two bed bungho too and we have had to decide what could stay and what should go. Hard to do but if you downsize what else can you do?
I used to collect teddies some I couldn't part with though, so they are squeezed in the study, much to OH's annoyance but so it goes eh?

Things made to be collectable won't appreciate because everyone, well, collects them and keeps them.
Things that are made in quantity get used (or played with) and thrown away. The survivors appreciate.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

I have a small collection of frosted glass animals. I found a dog one in a jumble sale as a child, which eventually got damaged and is long gone. Saw a similar one a couple of years ago in a boot sale; it too was badly chipped and I didn't buy it, but found cat, rabbit and bee in charity shops. Still looking for another glass dog...

I have a large collection of swarovski crystal figurines. It all started with a hedgehog that I bought in Brussels when we were on holiday a long time ago. Then I bought an owl and it sort of grew.
I have a lot of the coloured butterflies, insects and birds and a lot of the items are are now discontinued.
I also have a small (ish) collection of me to you bears, some soft toy bears and some figurines.
