Wire Binding Machines

Could I have a bit of advice please? I'm going to ask Santa for a Wire binding machine. (I have a comb binding one already) Now, as I like to make calendars, do I go for a kit that has a thumb cut punch included, or just an ordinary binder? And if I go for the ordinary one, will the pages turn over easily on the calendar, without the thumb cut thing?  I've made them on the comb binder, and the pages don't turn over. Hope all this makes sense? I know what I mean, LOL

I know absolutely nothing about what you are saying!!!  But, if I've got it right, is the thumb cut there just so that the hanging loop has somewhere to go when it's in it's envelope???   Probably sounds rubbish, that'll be 'cos it probably is!..Smiley Indifferent

Thanks, I'll Google it. I presume the thumb cut is to make turning the pages over easier? Otherwise I would just have to try to slot the wire hanger into the binding wire each time. Both types of binding machine specify that they are suitable for calendar making, so I don't know. Ed - thanks for the comment, gave me a laugh. Google, here I come & thanks everyone. xx

Well I meant for going over the hanger when turning the page as well.    Of course I did.   No doubt about it.   Yes, that'll be what I meant, you just misunderstood me.  Smiley Indifferent

Ive seen the thumb cut punch sold seperately, think the cheapest was £37 -ish? Goodness knows how they warrant that price! Peach is the brand Ive just seen advertised.
