Why do ebay make it so difficult

To get to other ebay sites?

I used to use ebay.com quite a bit, and there used to be the links at the bottom of the home page for all the other ebay sites.

Since they started the new page which gives you all the carp stuff you may have searched for a few times (which I have now deleted) the links to the other sites have gone.  Same as the links to the other communities around the world.

Add that to the dwindling number or private sellers and 10% fees being added to the P&P price for sellers, it's all changing for the worse and getting too big for it's boots.

Ebay was brilliant when there was a real eclectic mix of items that you couldn't find enywhere else,I miss the old friendly days and am becoming more and more disenchanted with this corporate leviathan which seems hell bent on becoming a virtual high street selling all the same stuff as I can get in any large town.

I am finding that lots of new items are far cheaper on other sites too.

It has changed .. try this..

Click on eBay logo, don't scroll but look to bottom left of screen for a faint 'Legal & more' tab.  Click tab, find the Union flag on far right of screen, hover/click there and other global site flags will appear.

Sorry .... seems to have changed again.  Just checked > Click eBay logo > scroll to bottom of page and the site flag is now back to the bottom right of screen where it used to be.

Clicking on a members feedback page and you're on .com.

It's a glitch.

Re: Why do ebay make it so difficult

In my opinion Ebay do want rid of small private sellers so the easiest way to do that is increase costs to deter them from listing. Then Ebay will get what they want an online high street full of mainline shops, sadly then they might not have many buyers.

I can see not only private sellers leaving but buyers as well when that happens and Ebay will then realise they have shot themselves in the foot by detering the people that made the site what it was.

Yes I agree they do have many free listing days for small private sellers but in my opinion they do this too encourage said sellers to list and hopefully sell because Ebay see a drop in listings and sales which transfers to a drop in the money they take in.

Sorry Ebay but trying to be something you were never meant to be will lose you more than you will gain in my opinion and your greed could very well be the straw that broke the camels back. You should have listened to your customers because in the long run they are the ones that made this venue what it once was, a happy pleasant place to come and maybe find that one thing you were looking for.
