Who Sang this Song?

I think it is from the 1950s and was sung by a dark haired man

The only lyrics I can remember are

Lambs in the park so on a spree

Blossoms bud on the apple tree

Hiya Cee Dee.  How do?  King of the Road is one of my party pieces, Trailers for sale or rent - fabby.  I've always loved it.  Also Patsy Cline,  Have You Ever Been Lonely?

Re: Who Sang this Song?

Well, I certainly know King of the Road but had never heard the female version. It reminds me of "Wives and Lovers". "Hey, little girl, comb your hair, fix your make up. Soon he will open the door"...... Etc.

B. Cheek! Don't think that would go down very well with today's young ladies! 😄

Re: Who Sang this Song?

Hi Maggie. Hope you had a good holiday.

I've just listened to that and enjoyed it. I'm not familiar with her at all - probably a bit too up-to-date for me!

Surprising, really, with me being so much younger than you!! 😉

Re: Who Sang this Song?

She has been about since 1991 so hardly up to date! lol I have most of her cd's. Not keen on all the old fashioned stuff so I thought I would put something more contemporary on! lol

The holiday was great & seems an age away now. I wish it would warm up here. I have been cold ever since I got back.

Re: Who Sang this Song?

I'm loving James Bay at the moment, but there's room for everything.  I've been reading all my life about the history of American music and listen to some very obscure stuff but it suits me.

Well, except maybe for The Sound of Music - Maggie and I may be the only 2 people alive who have never seen it!

Just seen an ad in the Times for fantastic shows in Hyde Park towards end of June, The Who and Paul Weller on the same day - God I'd love that.
