We went to a Butlin's hotel which was in Saltdean near Brighton.  Hubby's dad paid for it for us.

We got the train to London and it turned out to be the football special.  Me with my new suit and pert little hat and all these football rowdies rattling their rattles and chanting football songs!  

That'll be 46 years in October if we make it.

Spent a week in Norfolk at a B & B close to the nursing home my Mum was in, visited her all day every day for that week. She died 3 months later so I'm really glad we did that.

A week in Stratford upon Avon staying with friends as they were moving house and a night at the Shakespeare hotel which was a wedding present from friends.

A week ridng our Sunbeam sidecar outfit round Ireland, staying in farmhouses each night . My love of Ireland lasted longer than the marriage!

we didn't have one, in fact on the day of our marriage, no one would even feed the dog for us!!! we had to go the store, buy some dog food and there we were in our wedding gear!!!!! we went down to his dad's where the dog was, fed him, and then went home and got ready for our evening do.....

Sadly nowhere - couldn't afford it.  I do regret it though.

We ended up the day after the wedding going shopping - for a full length dressing gown and two hot water bottles - the house was blerdy freezing   It was a terraced house with no heating and the bathroom was downstairs right at the back of the property - how I missed my mam and dad's lovely warm centrally heated house 🙂

Got married July 31st so quite close Cat-Knitter. (only 4 years for me though) Congrats on your 30th.

We flew to Los Angeles via Toronto (made it a cheaper flight) spent 3 nights in LA which included dinner on the Queen Mary down at Long Beach and a Hollywood tour. Drove to Las Vegas and spent 4 nights there which included a Grand Canyon trip. Then drove to Tonopah which was a one night stop on our way to Yosemite. We spent 2 nights in Mariposa just outside Yosemite Park; did a tour of the park. And finally we drove to San Francisco where we spent 3 nights including a trip to Alcatraz, bus tour of bay area and bridge, and dinner at The Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar at the Fairmont Hotel. Then flew back via Toronto again.
