When do you put your Christmas decorations up

I ask this question as today I was driving through my nearest town and was amazed to see that somebody already has their tree up in the window, the window is decorated and they have their wreath on their front door.

Personally I think that mid November is far too early.

When do you put your tree/decorations up in preparation for the big day. I normally get the tree out of hiding around the 5th December. I know to many that would still be too early but I like to get into the spirit in December.

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

Re: When do you put your Christmas decorations up

Bah humbug Petery!!!!

I must say, I don't like too much of it, & decorate the house a day or two before Christmas only

Did that because otherwise the children got uber excited, what with everything at school etc whipping them up - & it became our tradition.  It's handy now because I've usually got one or two of them home by then to do it with me!!

I do leave them up til 12th night usually though, as I love all the twinkly lights - my favourite bit - lighting a very dark time of year

Any time after Dec 1st! Varies depending on wot time I got, but will aim for the first weekend in December. I love doing the tree and the decorations. It all looks so pretty.
