Here on the East Coast (Brid) it's very windy but has stopped raining for now. Seen the disruption down South on the news, and 10,000 homes without power; anyone got snow? If so, please send it this way.

It's windy and drizzly (the drizzle has only just started) and it's none too warm. Lottie hates going out in the rain, I have to go with her and wait for her so we both end up wet!

I have had a Springer here over Christmas so know exactly what yu mean! lol Damson is fine if she doesn't get walked & she hates the wind & rain.

Poor Lottie has never had a walk in her life!

Our turn for the rain now; it's not torrential or anything but it's enough for me to have to keep the dogs in; they are only tiny (Yorkasso's) so soon get wet if they go on the grass or anything. Hopefully it will ease off soon and I can take them for a walk, as the youngest one hates staying in.

Well it stopped raining & the sun is out now so we went for a walk to the beach. Still a very cold wind blowing though.

Woke up to a howling gale, torrential rain but like others, am so lucky to be in an area which just gets vast puddles in the roads in the valley and no flooding.
Rain eased off at lunchtime so I dipped out to feed the birdies, but the wind has not dropped that much and it is rather 'fresh' out there temperature wise.
Am also just wanting to stay under the duvet until things improve, but will have to go out tomorrow and get some basics at least - haven't done any food shopping since last Monday.
Still forecast for heavy raing tomorrow, a bit less for Wednesday and better for Thursday - the one day I have to stay in!
The wind is not going to lessen that much though - just some patches of it calming down before kicking off again.

It's been blowing a gale here today and we've had rain as well. I took my mum into town this afternoon and the pair of us looked like drowned rats when we got back. I had an appointment at the doctor's at around 4pm and it's still freezing out there but the wind has dropped a bit and it's stopped raining.

Me too Rose. I am not a lover of these dark winter months at all. Still very wet & windy here.

Good enough for you up in Stirling 1311rose ! Not once have you waved from the window when I have tooted the horn passing your work ! .
Happy New Year.

Been very windy, wet, cold here today; one of those days where it never gets light. And I'm full of cold!

It's been pretty much the same here as well. Wet, windy and permanently dark. I've not checked a weather forecast for where I live yet today but it doesn't look like it's going to improve much.

It's been a good day here today, but just to wish that all of you who are in areas of potential flooding and at risk of tidal surges and storms, stay safe in the coming days.
It's not looking good for so many around the country.

We've had a weather warning for winds tomorrow but not as strong as we have had. I know that other parts of the country have had worse forecasts than where I live but I just hope that everyone stays safe.

Just watching the news and Newquay in Cornwall are going to have it bad. My neighbours son lives and works down in Truro and his mum, dad and sister are down there at the moment. I hope that they are safe.

We have amber warnings here in Weymouth for the harbour & beach roads. Sounds like it's going to be bad.

Yep - it's also sad that they have to remind people to stay away from the sea front, don't go into the water, not even for a paddle - and yet still people do it.
So many drowned this Christmas time, some because they thought they were doing the right thing to rescue a pet, some as accidents and some through dumb stupidity.

More bravado than sense some of them.
