What's everyone doing this weekend?

I am on my own all weekend until Monday night, just me and the dogs,      

So I shall be making Sweet Chilli Jam, Apple and Blackberry Jam, Plum Jam, and an Autumn chutney. In my own time, with no interruptions by 2 men craving food, what's for tea, what's for lunch etc etc etc.

I shall also be sorting my new card making bits and pieces.

Saturday watching Atlantis (controversial I know) Strictly and Casualty on the big telly in the front room with the remote control all to myself.

Sunday possibly dossing around, if its nice washing and gardening,

The lucky dogs will be having a couple of very long walks each day, even if it's raining

Son may be staying with me this weekend.

I am going over to see my dad tomorrow

Most of the stuff I am putting on Ebay is the left overs of my card making days - mainly card toppers that I need out of the way

I will have to look out for that then as I am taking up card making

Stepson and partner coming by for lunch tomorrow..... fixing a ham. 🙂 And I am trying to talk hubby into going to a boot sale on Sunday.

I'll be swimming both tomorrow and Sunday.  I'll be taking mum food shopping Sunday if she feels up to it.  She's not feeling too good at the moment.  She's had a sore throat all week and her chest is now bad again.  My mum really suffers when she has a bad chest.

We is going to a rally!

Got a new tent ( another tent.. that makes about 10 Ive got now!) got a sleeping bag for Onions ( plus fleece blankets fleece sleep suit ) 

Just doing the one night seeing as it's her first time. And we are meeting friends with a little girl 3 months younger than her so she will have somone to rabbit on to in whatever language they speak!

All we need now is for her to enjoy it ( I'm sure she will she loves people and bikers are the friendliest people) and to get a sidecar on the road and we are set for the future . Well actually I have bought a sidecar , picking it up next weekend,,,, just got to break it to the Lady W!

Pottering about, packing as I'm away next week driving a school trip, preparing stuff

for hubby and son for whilst I'm away (like warning the local takeaways to stock up etc!).

We are going out for a meal tonight as that's the lure for my shopping-hating hubby to

do a weeny little bit of shopping!

Taking a gear box out of the rally car to strip down plus hopefully some cuddle time with the G'kids tomorrow when they all come for lunch

This weekend I

Did loads of washing

Picked bag of crab-apples

Supermaket shop

Hung out washing to dry and did next load

Weighed out dried fruit/cherries/peel for 8 C cakes but before I did that

I had to go and get new battery for scales as it was "dud" and scales would not work

Made crab-apple jelly (1st batch)

Boiled up more crab-apples for further batches

Bottled some sloe gin that was made last year

 I did some housework

Watched Strictly Come Dancing!

why are weekends so short!

Well tonight making a big pot of home made soup with ham hough as stock ! As my gran used to say "a pot of soup that will stick tae the banes oan the wae doon".

Made 10 jars of sweet chilli jam, many thanks to my dad who grew the ingredients.

Wrapped up eating apples to keep, (hopefully it will work)

Did 6 loads of washing, hung out in the sun, all dry now and put away (changed 3 beds hense 6 loads)

Watched Strictly.

Made 3 apple crumbles and put them in the freezer,

Walked the dogs 4 times.

Spent some time on here in and out.

Swept up outside and put some pots in sheltered position away from frosts.

Yes the weekends are too short especially when the sun shines.

That reminds me must get the gin and vodka to make this years batch of fruit gin and vodka, going to try vanilla vodka this year.
