It is absolute abuse of children.  To be used as 'medical experimental studies' is unacceptable.

But it is the tip of the iceberg IMO.

Children in care have been systematically, sexually exploited and abused for the last 100 years. 

Children in boarding schools (some who run our country) were systematically abused as part of the schooling system.  This leads to a lack of emotional empathy.

We should all stand up and ensure that our children, our grand-children and our neighbour's children are SAFE!

I agree with what you say Geranne over people in boarding schools being abused.  A lady who used to work with my mum divorced her husband when she found out that he had abused all four of their children - and I don't know how many others.  He was privately educated.  I am not saying that everyone who is privately eductated is like that because I bet the majority are good people.

Yes that's the one Mou,, the film I believe was based on the original book written  by Martin Sixsmith who worked for the BBC.  I agree it was worth watching and the book  was worth reading too.

I have to agree with you, abuse of any description is totally wrong.  It is just the tip of the iceberg, its just that these cases in Ireland are currently in the public eye and sprawled across every paper/ news channel both here and in Ireland. As we here in the UK know only too well  know for the last few years, every newspaper, discussion board, news channel was full of the appalling abuse  by a 'so called now deceased celebrity' who was supposed to be such a charitable man. IMO its a world wide issue,
