I have tried my hand at card making and intend to carry on, I have made some decorations and calenders. I have made two crochet rugs for the chairs for the dogs to sleep on and I have made some new friends.
I am looking for another challenge now to take on,
Not sewing, nothing to do with sewing or knitting I have neither the inclination or patience for them.
Something crafty, but not something that will take days to do.
This is your challenge should you wish to undertake it.....................................

most crafts are a little time consuming so you want something you can make quickly?
tissue paper flowers?
you could become the chocklit brownie person on FHG...take over Numpty's place.
clay pot paintings? or I've seen flat stones from the beach painted, they look lovely, as you live in Devon are you near the coast...you could get a few stones there (are you allowed?)
I once painted a lilly pot in a burgundy colour and then went over it with some gold paint and stenciled a wee fleur de lys on the front, it looked lovely and took abot 10 mins to do....
am I on the right track?

Have you thought of clay modelling ed? My daughter has a kiln but you can get stuff that hardens in a cooler oven or just in the air. She enjoys it very much. This is one of three ornaments she made me for Christmas. It's supposed to be me, with my laptop, wine, bar of chocolate and TV remote!!

That's some great ideas Capt'n, I have loads of terracotta pots I could decorate, I am about 7 miles from the sea not supposed to take big pebbles, but I am sure they won't miss a couple of small ones.
I like those ideas, when I said they shouldn't take too long I meant weeks not days. I don't mind days, just not weeks I have the attention span of a gnat.
Since I gave up a day at work I have lots of time on my hands, it was supposed to be for me, not for housework but thats all I seem to be doing.

I love the model, your daughter is very clever, I always wondered what you looked like.
Tintin, baking is out my two would never let them leave the house.

What about jewellery making ed, you can start off with something little like earrings and then move on to bracelets and necklaces . You can get everything you need on here from beads to clasps to wire .

Ideal hobby to make gifts for friends and family but also you could always sell pieces on here or MDCC them.
Also gives you the opportunity to always be co-ordinatd with any outfit you own or make stand out pieces for special occasions

you can make lovely stuff with that Fimo clay, I think you harden it off in the oven so that's not a problem.
jewellrey making is good too like Stan said you can MDCC it.
6" plantpots would be good as you can get a decent size plant in it. if you make them too small what do peeps do with them then?
three 3" pots on a tray all colour co-ordinated would look nice with herbs in for the kitchen.
oooooh I could go on.............

Thanks ladies, some wonderful ideas, I already make pickles and jams, which I love doing, but I like the jewellery idea and the pots as well so that should keep me going for a while.
Keep the ideas coming though.
