Wednesdays, woopie not working today tea

Had a small roast pork lunch today so being good this evening and just having beans on toast.  Oooops forgot OH is having beans on toast, I am out playing skittles, it's in a country pub and they do amazing snacks so I will have to save some room.

We had breaded cod, mushy peas and tartare sauce and we've just had our fresh fruit.

I finished early tonight just so I can cook mr S his favourite tea so we will be having

Scallpos wrapped in Bacon with blackpudding

followed by sirloin steak, home made chips, toms. mushrooms.peas, onion rings and a brandy peppercorn sauce

and to finish

homemade honeycomb ice-cream with fresh raspberries and extra cream

Oooo that sounds yummy, tell me does the black pudding mask the delicate flavour of the scallops ive often wondered ?
I on the other hand had boring wholegrain rice with chuck & mushrooms. lol.

but I do love him and its our 20 yr anniversary

Black pudding doesn't overpower as cook the scallops whole (without roe) and then just add small cubes of fried blackpudding or small discs of it under the scallop

M & S 'Gastropub' ready meal --- slow cooked ( New Zealand ) lamb shank with honey roasted root vegetables, just 45 minutes in the oven. 

Absolutely fantastic. Probaly the best ready meal I've ever had.

Fairly hard day at work so it's vodka for tea again!  And it's grate!! 

I did do a joint of silverside in the slow cooker, marinaded in oil, wine, pepper, ginger, garlic, lemon etc etc but remembered too late I don't like beef.  Hurrah for vodka!
