Thank you to the weather forecaster who said this area was going to have the best day of the weekend, with sunshine today ! So what have we got? Yet more rain and a load of washing to get dry! It hasn't even got daylight yet. Now, on the other hand if all this rain we are getting was SNOW, just think how lovely and deep and picturesque it would be.........Instead of that we have muddy, soggy fields to walk and slide about in when dog-walking. What weather are the rest of you having?

It's still very blustery here today and we've had quite a bit of rain as well.

Bloomin cold her today in this ************ wind. Blowing up again, goody. Ballast washed away under the railway line down south, an unexploded grenade has been found under a blown over beach hut in Exmouth. Numerous trees down, power out. I know what I would prefer. bring on the snow.

A bit more than ballast. The railway line is bad, but what about the houses above it?

That must be a bit further down, they didn't show that earlier, OH company is down there all hands on deck, luckily it's not his department, so he doesnt have to go, unless they need an extra pair of hands. He is on holiday though so shouldn't get called out. 2 of his workmates have been down there all day.

how about this for a stunning but very scary photo
Porthleven in Cornwall, they have been craning all the boats out of the harbour as loads have been either sunk or smashed.
I have a real fear of water and these photos make me feel really sick, We as a country have been so lucky that no one has died I stand corrected if they have.
All the fuss they made about St. Jude makes that look like a summer breeze, the devastation this has caused.
Living by a river or the sea is fine in the summer but this time of the year it must be quite frightening.

No end in sight, either - watch the weatherman's video halfway down the page:

Mmmmmmmmm.

I must admit that where I live, there's been no structural damage. Even though we have strong gusts of wind, it's not been as bad as other parts of the country.
Hope that everyone is as safe as can be in the worst hit areas.
