Tomorrow I wave goodbye to my womb!

Well, the op looms. I have to be in at noon tomorrow for the afternoon session, so that means an early breakfast before 7, and then nothing but water until 11.

Not quite sure how I feel at the moment. Been keeping busy all day, catching up with washing and shopping etc.

Have a feeling it'll be a sleepless night tonight!..........

It will the best thing ever, I was thirty two when I had mine, the only blip I had afterwards, was knowing I couldn't have any more children, even though you might not want any more  but I think it could be a hormonal thing as well, as I did get weepy while for a while .

you will fine, good luck with the op and best wishes for a speedy recovery. And  do NOT overdo it after the op, with lifting etc, even if you feel well enough a few weeks down line line

Tip from a friend who had this done - when you go home tell your driver to avoid speed bumps. The hospital she went to had one at the exit from the car park...

Try & get a good nights sleep & think of it as a final end to all your problems ....... if your recovery is half as fast as mine was apart from a tenderish tummy, in a weeks time you'll be amazed with how well you feel  😄

Hi everyone, thanks for all your good wishes.  Didn't sleep that well last night, but as stepdaughter said, I'll be sleeping a lot of today anyway!:^O

Best thing I did in terms of looking after myself, having a hysterectomy

I was weepy about never having another baby too - even though we wouldn't have had another (OH had had a vasectomy years prior, & I had no weeps then) - & it does play with your hormones; I am still on HRT 

Immediately post op, try to do all that the medics/physios etc suggest & you'll be adding yourself to the list of people who say it's the best thing they did, you'll see
