Can anyone recommend a toaster that will toast a full slice
of warburtons extra thick bread without having to turn it
upside down so it doesn't burn in the middle?

Can't help I am afraid, every toaster I have had has been rubbish, and only toasted half so I have to put it back in again upside down, the one I have now is better than the rest but it still has to be done, it will however do bagels and crumpets, I only ever buy cheapish ones as they don't last long, false economy I think as you usually get what you pay for. But I do have a tight husband who will only pay bare minimum for anything then wonder why it breaks after 5 minutes.

I have an "original" SS Dualit toaster (they do them in colours now) which I've had for about 15 years - no probs, still does the job!
