the doctors surgery and remember to collect them and get them into the chemist and collect them before the festive period runaway train syndrome overtakes you.
No point in sitting back thinking "oh I have done well and am organised" and then realising when it is too late "forgot my medication and now it is too late to get it filled".
So PLEASE PLEASE do it this week and you can score another thing off your to do list.

Whilst it is great in theory, unfortunately at the surgery that I am registered with the attitude is "if the repeat is due on the 25th, there is no way that we are going to issue it until the 25th".

Must admit that the staff at our GP's surgery are great. If you have a presciption due over Christmas, they don't have a problem in issuing it earlier.

If that is the case stroppy then the surgery you are with should be struck off the NHS register because surgeries are closed on the 25th and therefore they are putting patients lifes at risk !

Couldn't agree more Rescued. I thought that our previous GP's were bad enough but Stroppy's GP seems worse.

It's very odd there isn't a standard way of dealing with repeat prescriptions.
The chemist deals with mine, I just pick the meds up in the week before I need them every three months.
