I wonder if you can get foxgloves in the garden centres this year? you couldn't get them a while ago as the stock had been infected:-(
I may have a go at growing sweet peas this year, there's enough fence to put them up. I've never really managed to get them to grow properly after the first lot I grew!!!

I've got the everlasting sweet peas capt. You just throw the seeds down and they grow year after year. I've only got the deep pink ones but if you want some seeds give me a shout.:-D

When ive tried growing sweet peas they have never done well , until i was given a small pot of the everlasting type ..they are still alive even though small so fingers crossed.

I have a huge shrub that seeded itself years ago in the gap beside the garage. It has heart shaped flowers on it & is very pretty. Not sure what it is.

do the flowers have a darker pink top and then lighter pink underneath? are the stems fleshy? that's a bleeding heart. they're so pretty, you can get a white one too.
I've just been looking at that bleeding heart in a book this morning, they aren't a hardy plant though.
I did an hour in the garden today cutting the edges away on the lawn but I had to give up as it's so wet it was like playing in clay mud:_| little and often in the garden I think.
Yes, all the best Von, I hope it all goes well for you. take care:-x

The flowers look the same but the leaves are different. Much bigger & not feathery. It's a hardy shrub about 6ft high!

we have a tiny yard, growing runner beans, toms and maybe a few chillis again in tubs
not started yet, but need to prepare the wall with some netting for the beans, going to try them near the window/door and not over the fence
i had spotted the 99p shop doing full size grow bags last week,

Hope that everything went alright at the hospital PCC.
I see that Gardener's World starts again tonight. Love watching that even though l think that Monty Don does seem to think that we all have rather large gardens.
