TUESDAY'S tea thread

Due to my job interview this afternoon I have already prepared tea ready for later. Teenager is having home made spag bol and I am having mushroom stroganoff with rice. All it needs is heating up. Preparing the tea helps alleviate the boredom and the nerves that always precede a job interview 🙂

Re: TUESDAY'S tea thread

Oh stroppy. Smiley Sad I've been reading these threads and although I don't know what's going on with you, I can't believe you're not eating good food. Have you no-one who can bring it in to you? I feed my whole family when they're in hospital (living in the city where they're brought from villages) Smiley Sad xx

Re: TUESDAY'S tea thread

Ruth - the problem isn't that no-one brings food in - the doctors are absolutely brilliant at bringing me all sorts of stuff to try to tempt my appetite, "him indoors" will bring anything I ask for, and I have a whole raft of menus from take-away's who will deliver.

The dietician has also prescribed "fortijuice" drinks that are full of good stuff, as I find drinking easier than eating.

The problem is that I have absolutely no appetite, also that because the blood pressure is so low I get dizzy if I sit up, and eating lying down isn't easy. Also I am on a cocktail of 4 anti-biotics, 3 of which make me feel sick, and often make me actually sick. Also I am coughing so hard that the coughing quite often makes me sick. I actually have developed a chest infection to add to everything else.

I also have a whole load of tablets to take, although they are trying to give me as many meds by I.V. as possible, and I am not good at swallowing tablets - I will often semi choke on them and be sick.

I really am struggling with eating at present - the annoying thing is that I'm not losing weight - they say it's because I'm not eating enough.
