Still twitching here, Towery, still twitching - so know I'm still alive. Should be working so better whip washing into machine, onto line(yesterdays) and do the wages!. Thanks for asking.

Morning all and all you night owls.
The sun is shining here and we have a blue sky it probably won't last though!

Furry those fish are cute they look artificial and what big yes they have.

Good luck for this afternoon Arty.

When you talk about London it is like a different planet to me. We haven't been to London for over 30 years and then that was only for a day.
The only time I have ever stayed in London was when I was about 15 and I stayed with some friends of my parents who lived in Peckham and it was a nice area then all old houses no big blocks of flats. They took me to see all the sights. Since then I have only been on 2 day trips and as I say they were over 30 years ago.

Going to Lidl this morning. Photobucket

ive been to london a couple of times
think i was over 35 when i first went

a St John day parade - service in St Paul`s - i sat directly under the Dome, had a fantastic time just looking up. then we wandered around for a few hours then were on the coach home. i think i did another one of those days too

then when i lived in aylesbury we drove to kew gardens for the day

since then ive been round a few museums and to hyde park for the day and the odd exhibition

Lived and worked in Central London for about 3 years after UNI until I'd had enough of people who didn't speak English(you really don't want to know my opinion of middle Eastern tourists), crowds, car fumes and no money and hightailed it out of there. Great fun though.

Took daughter up for the day recently, my first visit since kids, and was surprised by how much quieter, safer and less polluted it seemed. Might just be other places have got busier.

Morning all wet again here too. It didn't rain yesterday and thankfully I got all my washing dry outside.

Yes, they're real, Towery. They are deep sea fish, and stick to rocks and coral to prevent themselves being swept away by strong underwater currents. ------------------
I'm not curious, just puzzled

Morning all. Was a lovely day when I got up, wandered off to dress, collected armful of washing, loaded machine, looked out and yukky, grey and horrible!. Ever get the feeling you can't win?.

Same here Gp and washer has just finished.

Morning all.

Elder daughter and son in law came last night with a huge bouquet of flowers. Daughter's boss had bought them for her for all her hard work. As daughter and son in law are going away today for 2 1/2 weeks she brought them for me. Photobucket

that was very nice of her

i`m sure she knows you`ll love them as much as she did, maybe you could take a nice photo as a reminder for her

are there any pressable ones?

do people still press flowers and mount them?

Towery they are mostly lilies and roses with a few unusual ones that i don't know what they are. One is deep red and feels like velvet but looks like a brain! There are a few other unusual ones too. Photobucket

THE NEW GOOD MORNING THREAD

Photobucket 'Tis damp here, but who knows.

A lot of re jigging and taking stock going on here.
Master A's holidays began unexpectedly Friday morning when he was sent home (as not coping) and told not to come back till September. I can't say I'm that upset about it, (please remind me I said that in a couple of weeks time) but total chaos now reigns supreme here.

London's tourist areas are massively cleaner, better and safer than they used to be, but many residential areas have gone the other way. Biggest personal problem is logistics of travelling anywhere if you can't use public transport. Two of my journey's that took around an hour ten years ago now routinely take two and a 1/4 hrs. Have just done one of the journeys, and it was 37 mins without traffic, observing speed limits, (well, pretty much anyway!)

Clever little fish Furry, could learn from them. 😄

G/p I think it's toying with us.

Try and eat what's good for you Herbs and get into good habits while you're hungry. 🙂

Towery I think the drying them craze took over. But thank you for reminding me. I have remembered I meant to show Granddaughter after she asked how it was done ages ago, but I forgot!

Granny that's lovely, love the idea of velvet brains.

Chez those are fascinating.

Hope everyone has a nice peaceful Sunday lined up.:-)
