My OH has just got back from his Sunday night game of snooker with SIL.

My daughter just rang... she was bored.. took herself off to bingo and won £105..
said she needed to tell someone and all her neighbours are asleep! ( she's in a old peoples complex temporarily, loves it durin the day but says the evenings are boring)

She has just replaced her tv/dvd player and her ds..and she has a new computer on order  ( insurance coughed up at last!) so I'm sure some dvd's and software will be on the cards!

Good on your daughter chez. Handy at any time of the year, but just after Christmas, more than welcome.:-D

Son in law won gems.  They go every week but hubby was devastated last Sunday as they were closed for Boxing day!:O

I was lucky earlier this year mags, just when I wanted a new TV stand, a friend had one she didn't want. I gave her a £25 donation to charity and everybody was happy.:-x

years ago about 30 years ago lol me & a friend got in the local papers cos we wanted to play snooker, but it wasn't allowed so we kicked up a a stink, got into the papers, i'm sure it was through us it set the ball rolling so to speak for women player today 🙂

Mr Chez would love a new flat screen, state of the ark telly.. I refuse to get one all the time our current tv works! ( I don't watch much telly!)

Is that the gold-plated one mags?:^O  Mine was just one of these modern smoked glass ones but to fit a 42" telly it needed to be a big one.  The thing is, no-one ever goes in there to watch it anyway!:^O

We bought the TV - a Sony - in the sale.
No way will i pay £200 for a stand.
All the stands seem to be very high or very wide.

I have an embarrassingly old TV. It does take up a lot of room but I have other priorities for my pennies at the moment.:-D
