THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

We've got a pink peony in the back garden and it's lovely.  I've been doing some more tidying up in the front garden this afternoon.  We will be putting the bedding plants out shortly so we need the space.  I'm shattered now.  If the weather is nice tomorrow, I'll get some more done.

The thunder & lightning was quite spectacular here last night. poor Damson hid under the table! Dry now but looks like the rain is on it's way again. The sun tried to come out but lost the battle!

We're still nice and sunny here.  No rain.  Not as hot as it was yesterday but still a pleasant day.  Just been and gone and done my fifty lengths.

Well done Maggie.  I'm still looking for a diet where you can eat as much as you want of chocolate, ice cream. chips, wine and lose half a stone a week.  If you see one, let me know will you? 🙂

I'd love a diet like that as well CG.  I must admit that I'm trying to lose some weight.  I've not had any chocolate since last week and I've been swimming more so, hopefully, when I get weighed in the morning, I will have lost some weight.

I have cut out Biscuits, cake, pastry & chocolate. Cut way back on pasta & have only had two bread rolls & no other bread in the last three weeks! I feel I have more energy now. Still drinking the wine though! lol

Well, I've cut out chocolate and I used to have a latte and a round of toast after my swim.  So I've also cut out the latte and toast and I have spent more time swimming.  I can't blame the wine though as I don't drink anything alocoholic.  I can't act daft without the loopy juice and I don't have the hangover the following day.

you've done really well Maggie, I think living on your own helps a lot too, as OH wouldn't eat the diet stuff I would. Cooking for one is so much easier if you've a diet plan on the go.

Poor Damson, we had a dog who was terrified in storms, she would know ages before they hit, that they were coming and she'd hide in the nearest cupboard.

Our last dog used to go and hide under my mum and dad's bed about half an hour before it thundered.  He also hated fireworks.  I feel sorry for any animal that is frightened when it thunders or there's fireworks going off.

CB, slimming world is the way to go.No diet food, just fresh stuff & meals made from scratch, it's all down to how you cook it. I've lost 2 st in about 12 weeks, no diet food but loads of ordinary stuff. I've never eaten so much.

That is basically what I am doing Gina. I lost a lot with SW but I am not paying to go again as I can do it on my own now.

Well done Gina.  When I got weighed on Wednesday, I hadn't lost any weight but I'll keep trying and see what happens when I get weighed next week.

the only trouble with SW is when you stop it, you pile on the weight again. I've seen this happen with at least 4 people in work. It's a whole lifestyle change.

I'm slowly going to drop those items Maggie and others of course, I have trouble finding things that are low fat that aren't full of sugar....hey ho onward and upwards!

I'm not planning on stopping slimming world completely as the amount & choice of food really suits me & I find it easy to stick to
