THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.  The weather has been mixed.  It rained a little bit this morning but the weather improved as the day went on.  When I went into town earlier for my sight test, the car was telling me that the temperature was 25 degrees.  I've not long since put washing out so it should be dry soon.

I'm feeling so tired today.....l don't know what's wrong with me, I could sleep for Britain, and me hooves???? well don't ask.

How are you feeling today Stroppy? I hope the pain isn't as bad.

I don't mind ticking clocks during the day but I don't like them during the night.

Sorry that the hooves are bad again CB.  Hope that they soon feel better.

Wonders how Stroppy is.  Hope that she's feeling a bit better today.

THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Thanks for thinking of me ladies.

Not a great day, but it is my own fault - I did an 8 hour stint at work on Tuesday and I knew that 8 hours in my wheelchair would leave me stiff, exhausted and in a lot of pain. Took pain killers just before I left work on Tuesday, so they were kicking in by the time I got home. I arranged to go home by taxi so that I could travel in my wheelchair.

Met the outreach nurse at A & E this morning and she re-did the dressing, the only advantage to having the dressings done at the hospital is that I can use gas and air - does zilch to reduce the pain, but you just don't care that it hurts. Hospital dosed me with morphine before I came home, so I have spent most of the day just dozing. It doesn't hurt much if I don't move.

A short day at work tomorrow,  a few paracetamol and some codeine and I will be fine. I will be able to rest on the bed at home for a couple of hours after work before I go and test the Council's new computer based complaints procedure.

Friday won't be a great day as I have lost the argument and the consultant is going to open up "the hole" again, so that they can get silver dressings in to the bottom and encourage it to heal upwards rather than inwards. I refused point blank to let him do it last Friday as I am not letting him do it with no anaesthetic. Daughter and grand-children came last weekend, and I wanted to be at home with them, not stuck in hospital.

Oh dear J., I wish I could do something for you other than perpetually saying the usual 'get well soon', etc.  I do hope, everything crossed, that things go well, lots of love and I'll be thinking about you heart

hope you feel a little better today pcc...and stroppy too.

something is wrong with me, I feel terrible, all my joints are aching and I'm soooo tired, it's ridiculous...I wonder if the doc knocking my bp tabs down is having an effect on me....a kind of withdrawal?

any ideas?

Honestly, I don't think that you could make a good body out of quite of few of us put together.  I think that it may be the different strength of you BP tablets CB.  I don't need them thankfully but when any of my mum's meds have been altered, she's felt rough for a few days.  Hope that you soon feel better.

At the moment, the worst for me is my left thumb, right shoulder blade and both ankles

with knees and hips coming in a very close second.  I think a trip to the vets would be in order.

make an appointment for me while you are at it!!

It's been nearly a month now and one of my tabs was halved, I've slowly got more tired, and my joints have started to ache...I don't know if I'm just withdrawing from the dose but I'm not amusedangry smiley 1.gif

shall I start a thread called "the knackers yard"?

Now that is a good idea CB.  I think that to halve the blood pressure tablet more or less overnight is ridiculous.  I think that they should have done it have been done gradually.

BTW, I have made your appointment at the vets.  You're coming with me tomorrow.  Smiley Very Happy

Afternoon all.

Glad that the painometer is a bit lower today CB.  Our washing was done on Wednesday so that is one job over and done with for another week.

I had a phone call from the doctor's this morning and I have to go for a blood test so I've picked the form up and I'll go to the Walk-In Centre on Tuesday.  It's definitely a trip to the vet's shortly.

Hopes that all the poorly peeps are feeling better today.

lovely day today, got the washing done and a bit of tidying,  wish I only had to do the washing once a week Books, sadly with uniforms I have to wash every other day as we both get filthy scabbling around on the floor, my son is a stock controller for the same firm as me, and my OH as an engineer gets filthy too but I have to wash his seperately as it is mostly high vis. stuff and you can't use softner.

THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Glad to hear that the pain was less CB.

I had a letter from the GP wanting a blood test, so I got the ward to give me a syringe and a vial and took he blood myself - the ward have sent ot to the lab for me.

Well, got lucky today, the "nice" anethetist, took a lot of care, and only gave me a minimal amount, so I came round pretty quickly afterwards. Post-op recovery staff were also good, so I haven't been too sick afterwards and they have been really good about pain releif.

I have had a med student assigned to me today (poor lad really drew the short straw there), but he has been brilliant and nothing has been too much trouble. He managed to get my mobile phone to charge (it is tempramental), managed to get the hospital TV system working and found me a card for the TV with credit on it. He even found a set of computer type mini speakers so I can watch the TV without headphones.

That sounds like one nice medical student for you Stroppy.  Hope that you aren't feeling too bad. Have you any idea how long that you'll be in hospital?  I hope that it isn't too long.
