Absolutely beautiful day here, not a cloud in the sky, oh how I have missed the sun.
Washing on the line, windows open, spring has sprung , I know rain back tomorrow.

Yes it's nice to have the windows & doors open isn't it. Still a bit cold but it is January!
11-01-2014 12:53 PM
Oh I don't mind the cold, the lounge is bathed in sunshine so it is lovely and warm and the dogs are upstairs on our bed lying in the sun,
sorry if others still have doom and gloom.

Damson found a sunny spot too. Not upstairs though that's out of bounds as is the furniture! I am a cruel mummy! lol Actually she has never attemped either. She does like a sun lounger in the garden though!

It did brighten up here a bit at lunchtime but it's clouded over again. It's still bitterly cold. We've had frost forecast for tomorrow. I hope not. It's cold enough to freeze though. Fingers crossed that they're wrong.
Glad that you've got your quilting machine sorted Maggie.

We had snow overnight, & it's still lying...but at least it's stopped for now
11-01-2014 3:31 PM
Still bright and sunny here, but I am told that it is very cold outside. Everyone keeps moaning about the draught as I have the window open slightly.
Still no feeling from the waist down, but still totally pain-free.
11-01-2014 3:49 PM
Glad you are pain free Stroppy.

Sorry you've had snow Merc. As I've said before, the best place for snow is a Christmas card.
Glad that you're pain free Stroppy.

the sun did shine today for a bit, not that I got out in it mind...
I did a bit of lunch prepping and got a blasting for it off OH, he said if I was fit enough to do that I could go to work!!! (he was joking ....I blerdy well hope)
tbh, my foot hurt all afternoon but I did have it up on a chair in the kitchen. It's the walking that does it...to the loo and back. Hey ho never mind, it has to be done.
Stroppy....how long will this numbness in the legs last for?

No idea Captain - it should have worn off by Tuesday tea-time, Tuesday night at the latest. This has happened before, so it should wear off in a week or two. This is why they have this dilemma when they operate - use a spinal and have no idea if or when it will wear off, or use a general anaesthetic and have problems trying to get the breathing tube out. The doctors are starting to panic, you can tell by the way that they huddle in corners.

Captain - my lot come in hordes, 3 or 4 consultants each with a supporting cast - at times there are more than 20 of them, all muttering to each other.
They seem to think that they are too lofty to speak to such mere mortals as patients, and they seem to think that we need to be adressed like children.
The main consultant is fine if you get him on his own - the best one is the A & E consultant, he actually talks to me and treats me like an intelligent adult.

Morning All.
Bitterly cold here today with a good solid frost so no doors or windows open for me today, going to have a potter to the local farm shop later as need to stock up on veggies and they also make the best steak pies so may just treat Mr S to one for tea tomorrow.

We never ever ever shut internal doors on any rooms. Seems a very strange thing to do. I'd hate it! I'd feel so trapped. Oh no, the very thought of it!! I think my claustrophobia must be worse than I thought!!

I have a bit of a thing about closed doors too CG. The only ones I close are the toilet doors. I know why I am like it but can't say here.
