THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning

Working for three long days now and off at the weekend, so OH will be keeping an eye on FIL and his carers. Just hope things work out with this care package and it can carry on after the six weeks, He really wants to stay at home, but isn't even managing washing and changing his clothes at the minute.

He keeps asking why he has to wear clean clothes as he never goes anywhere to get then dirty!

I think we have an uphill struggle on our hands.

THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning all.

Learning, I think that dementia is the cruellest thing that can happen to someone.  It affects so many people and not just the person with the dementia and it's so sad to see someone go through it.  Send you some more hugs.  (((((Learning and family))))).  I will be thinking about you.

Mum's not so good at the moment.  She's got a bit of an upset tummy.  Steph and Grace are supposed to be coming for their tea today.  I've just told my mum that I'll ring Steph and cancel but she wants to see how she feels later.  It's just that if it's a bug, I don't want either of them to get it.  With my mum and myself, I don't think that you could get a good body out of the pair of us.

Hugs to all that need them.

Afternoon all.

Going to pick Steph and Grace up from nursery at 4.15.  I just can't wait to see them.  I'll take some photos of Grace if she'll let me and post them later.  She's such a love and she's also her mother's daughter.  She is full of mischief just as Steph was at that age.

Evening all.  I'm absolutely shattered.  Grace is motorised big time.  She'd only let me take one photo.  I think that this was because she was tired after being at nursery since 7.30 this morning.

She certainly did Merc.  She even finished her mum's pud off as well.  Just before I took them home, she wanted to have a look in the fridge to see if there was any more cake left.  My bed is right up against the wall. Grace sat on the side of the bed where her little legs could dangle down.  She put the curtain behind her and when I looked, she was trying to strip the wallpaper of the wall.  Also, my bedroom window will have to be cleaned tomorrow as there are little palm prints all over part of the window.

It's only six weeks off the wedding now and we've got our invitation to both the day and night.  Grace has got her dress for the wedding and it's lovely.  Needless to say, I'll be taking loads of photos and that they will be on here so watch this space.

Morning all.  Hope that you all slept well.  It took me a while to get to sleep but when I eventually get to sleep, there was no waking me.

Glad that you had a good night out last night CB.  I like the sound of what you had as wel.

With regards to Grace, she is a little rip but she can be ever so good as well.  She can't wait for the wedding because she wants to do the okey cokey.Woman LOL

Bright sunshine here again this morning. Let's hope that it stays that way.  When we were taking Steph and Grace home at around 7 last night, the car was telling me it was 25 degrees then.

Must go now.  Hugs to all that need them.

Afternoon all.

Ooops naughty little Grace with picky fingers and sticky hands.

Dinner sounds lovely CB but bet your on lettuce leaves and water today to try and claw some on them calories back Smiley LOL

Very sticky and humid here today which isn't helped by having all the windows and doors closed here due to a large swarm of flying ants . Council supposed to be sending someone out to see what to do but as yet no sign, who wants a bet they turn up just as I'm about to clock off.

Afternoon all.

We had flying ants a couple of weeks back but not too many of the blighters thankfully.

It's warm and sticky here at the moment.  We've got both beds changed and the sheets are dried and put away so that can't be bad.

THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Just spoken to Steph.  She wasn't well when she was here with Grace last night.  She was complaining of a sore throat and her throat did look inflamed.  She's been to see the on call doctor who has said that Steph has viral tonsilitis.  She's had problems with tonsilitis for years and the poor girl is not at all well.  She's going to see her own doctor tomorrow.  Also, she needs to have her wedding dress altered again as she's lost weight since she had it altered about three months back.  She's already a size 10 but I think that it's nerves over the wedding.  She says that Graham's more nervous than she is but the poor girl must be nervous.  I bet they'll both be glad when the wedding is over and done with.

I've been a good girl today, no norty food.

I've been making dog biscuits for the show at the weekend, I'm inundated with the flippin' things now. Tomorrow it's muffins and fairy cakes, gawd if anyone asks me do I want a cake I'll faint!!!

THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

OK another update.

FIL is struggling to cope with his medication (in a Medipack) so carers are now in 4 x per day. Also prompting him re personal care.
He has a follow up appointment at the hospital on Monday, and also an appointment with his GP. We need confirmation of the diagnosis of Dementia in order to get exemption from Council Tax, and also an answer as to whether his lung cancer is classed as terminal in order to shortcut the application for Attendance Allowance.

Medications I have arranged to be delivered, and also his newspaper.
Appointment coming re a Home Carer to do all housework, and we may even have found a gardener.

I am currently doing all his washing and housework until things are in place, as well as working full time. Roll on the weekend!
