Hi Lauren.  Welcome to the madhouse.

We've some sunshine here as well CB but it's terribly windy.  We did have a short sharp shower earlier on but it didn't last long.

Don't whether or not I'll have time for gardening tomorrow 'cos we're having visitors.  Goddaughter's mum, stepfather and younger sister are coming.  Everything will be fine if Steph's sister doesn't decide she will misbehave.  She's 12 and a right whinge.  Always has been and always will be.  She's not a bit like Steph.  Looking forward to it though.

I'm turning into a grumpy old woman. OH has gone to play squash and I'm supposed to meet him...but I'd rather knit. We have people coming for dinner tomorrow and I can't be bothered! Might have to be inspired in Waitrose or M&S tomorrow and cheat.

The weather is back to being cold again :-(.........so no more sitting out for a few days at least, will be keeping busy with my knitting when I actually get round to starting something!!!!

I'll make the main course but maybe cheat on the others. I've still got home made biscuits for cheese from Easter that are in a tin. I've got enough frozen home made stock to launch a boat so I could do soup. I just fancy a quiet night in! From now until September we don't have a free weekend. 😞

We may not be having our visitors tomorrow after all because the little whinger isn't well.  Must admit to feeling sorry for her.

Just got back from taking mum to the walk in centre as we don't know whether or not she has a gum boil or an abcess in her mouth.  They've given us the number of the emergency dentist.  I tried ringing them before we left the walk in centre but they want to ring us on the land line number for some reason.  Still waiting for them to ring.back.  Will let you know how we go on.

Mum's just spoken to the receptionist at the out of hours dentist and they've no appointments tonight.  They only wanted her to take ibuprofen but as she is on warfarin, she can't take ibuprofen.  As the dentist is busy, they will ring back as soon as they have had a word with the dentist and we have to wait now to see what happens.

Mum's got an appointment with the dentist tomorrow at 12.40 so I'll take her down there and see what they say.  They've told her to rinse her mouth with warm salt water.  If they give her a prescription, we'll be back at the walk in centre as we won't have to wait as long there as we would at other chemists in town.

Mum had an abcess a while back and she was given antibiotics then.  The main worry is that it doesn't affect my mum's heart any further.  It's a worry but we'll get through it.  Fortunately, my mum is one very strong willed person.  My Goddaughter is getting married in September and mum is determined she is going be there.  Let's hope she is.
