Umph!!!  I came across a half knitted baby jacket so decided to finish it. The back, one front and one sleeve were done, leaving one front and one sleeve to do. I did the front and then realised it was a slightly deeper colour (lilac) than the rest, so I decided to give it a quick plunge in some bleachy water. It didn't make any difference.  I did it again with a little more bleach, then again with more bleach.  Not a jot of difference.  This is Domestos thick bleach.  You splash a drop on your best clothes and you've got a white circle!  I guess it's because it's acrylic rather than cotton.  Apart from sunlight, which is in short supply round here at the moment, has anyone got any good ideas how I can fade it?  I've got enough of the paler yarn to do the sleeve but not enough to do both.:-(

morning ladies:-D

sort of over cast here today

we had lots of thunder yesterday, but I read that Brad pitt had to stop filiming in glasgow yesterday due to the weather conditions..... it was TOO sunny:^O

i think thats a first!

Glasgow city centre has an area that has been turned into what looks like Philidelphia at the moment, streets are lined with american cars, american street signs, walk/dont walk traffic light thingys, the whole works

i think i may have to go and borrow some for my diner:^O

kirsty was on set a few days ago and was watching the guy fill the newspaper dispenser things they have on the streets and asked the guy for one:|

my gran would have said

"she would get a piece (sandwich) at any door":^O

Von may have a very clever machine Maggie, but lets face it, i could go  buy a very clever machine too, doesnt follow suit i could also produce clever things!:^O

besides we still like to see photos, well i do!

(yes Maggie that was at you too!:^O being den mother doesnt exempt you!)

knows nothing about wool chickengrandma

lovely & sunny here to after yesterdays rain. I want to cut the grass but it will still be wet for ages, hopefully it'll dry out soon.

Got Rhoni staying from last night & expecting my other 'refugees' shortly. Yves family got flooded out 3 weeks ago & the insurance company have put them up inn hotels until the house is declared safe again (no floorboards) & they've been spending thier days & mealtimes here as 2 adults & 3 kids ( 2 under 2) in one room is stressing them out a bit.Luckily last week they were moved to a hotel about 400 yds from my house (albiet on the other side of the busy A40)

hopefully it'll be dry by next week & the builders can lay the new floorboards & carpeting.

Yve says she tries not to get stressed as she knows lots have it worse than her & at least she was insured & that they are all together, but sometimes it's not easy. especially as they were originally told it would only be for 2 days (so they only took 2 days clothes etc with them) & it's now in the 3rd week.

Poor Sassys birthday party (on tuesday) has had to be diverted as well!
