never watch the news, never read a paper, its always so depressing, and i dont think there is anything i can do to change it,

I never read newspapers or watch the news either. I do hear the headlines on Radio 2. I did know the Queen Mum was dead though! lol:^O

As Dorset Rep for SWQ I am (with a friend) running our first workshop of the year tomorrow. I am just a little bit nervous. We have 17 people coming! We are not teaching it thank goodness. We have a lovely tutor doing that for the day.:-)

Another sunny day here - such a contrast to the devastation on the other side of the world.

Apart from the normal boring stuff today I've baked and iced 2 dozen buns - should last the boys a couple of days 😉 and knitted a chick. Also knitted a bunny but I'm going to do another one as the first one isn't quite right.

I have just looked at the calendar & realised it is two years ago today that I picked Damson up from the rescue kennels. She was a frightened, dirty, skinny dog that you wouldn't recognise now. She is a very big part of my life now.:-x

She had a lovely walk on the beach and sardines for tea. They are her favourite food.:-) We are both lucky to have each other I think.:-)

Tis overcast here, not sure if its warm or cold i havn't ventured as far as the door yet, but it looks calmer than it has been.

I must have been shattered yesterday i fell asleep on the sofa at around 9, woke at 11.30 but then when i went to bed i couldn't sleep, so was pacing the floor till gone 4 this morning.

I'm going to make some cordial this morning, i have frozen friut i need to use up. (lack of freezer space)

Then i shall be doing a bit of gardening, well onion setting. 🙂

Morning ladies.:-D  It's sort of light grey today, not grey grey but not sunny either.  Two grandchildren have just arrived until tomorrow afternoon but at 6 and 9 they don't need 'following around' like the two year old does.  The nine year old is 'helping' granddad so I've just got to keep the 6 year old occupied.  I wonder if she can clean windows??:|

but sat staring at teh front door till i opened it so she could make sure it was or was not out that side of the house:^O

Poor merlin!:-(  I'm glad we haven't got snow! I suppose you get used to it up there.  Do you live town or country merlin, are the shops just a little walk away or do you have to drive?  That's what I wouldn't like, I HATE driving in ice or snow.:O

if you imagine a village, that is joined on to others on 3 sides, and one side is the countryside, we live in the very last houses that go onto the countryside

nearest shop is around a mile away, but we never shop there, its a wee row of a few shops, we are always well stocked anyway, so the snow doesnt affect us that way
