THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Mags I always use straight cable needles but the cranked ones might well hold the stitches better. Get one a similar size the the needles you will be knitting with.:-)

Quick wave to all, I shouldn't be here, I'm due at the dentist in 15 mins, then on to my Sisters for a Christmassy do, with her family 😄 (guess I won't be eating much :-()

great first attempt Merlin ..... about the loopy bottom edge ..... I always cast on with 2 needles & cast on between the last 2 stiches, it gives a really neat edge.

Got to dash now, byeeeeeeeeeeee >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

And me 😉

Just bought a mag - Knit Today - as it has a booklet about knitting cable and 2 free cable needles (bent ones)
Have also borrowed a straight one from a friend so I can decide which I like.

May be knitting a bit in thge next couple of days. Just fallen on the ice and given my knee a right old bang. Nothing broken, but can see the bruise and swelling coming up 😞

I listened to Doctor Merlin - spent most of the day in bed. Am up coz the men have cooked 🙂

Ouch Mags - take it easy and rest.

Men brought me back some bits from MIL - a gorgeous huge vintage mixing bowl, an icing pen (something I've wanted for ages - again vintage) and an enameled bucket which will look great planted up in the spring 🙂

I've had to write a list so I don't forget anybody!

Hope you're feeling better soon hippy.:-x

Hope your knee isn't too bad mags.:-x

Those Yorkshires look good enough to eat gems.:-D

We've been having some funny meals this week, using up left overs and stuff that's been lurking in the freezer for months.;-)

I only had the children for a couple of hours while their mum went and bought all their birthday presents.  It's H's on 1st and D's on the 9th and then it's Z's (the spotty one) on the 21st!:O

I made a half measure of merlin goo today, it seems thinner than usual, it's usually gelled up by now, but we'll see how it is tomorrow.

Couple of hours, oh thats not to bad then 😉

I did wonder how you were surviving 🙂

Have you had the children helping with the merlin-goo, maybe they stuck a little extra something in there ;);)
