I didn't realise that picture was there merlin, what's happened to the big picture? That looks a lot better than you were making out! If it's your first attempt, that's very good. I use the thumb method to cast on and then you don't get the loops along the bottom. What size squares are you making?

your pic show merlin, if you click the little triangle.. it's huge which may be if why it doesn't show in the post..

Morning all, we have been melting at last and the world is going brown & green 🙂
Merlin, that is way better than you made it sound for your first attempt, can see you doing complicated patterns yet 😄

Morning
Wow I missed so much knitting chat last night!
You're doing fine for a first go Merlin 🙂 I'd recommend if you have the option to get wooden/bamboo needles they are lovely to work with. For double knit size 4mm or 4.5mm would be perfect.
Am planning on adding to my wooden needle collection this year as I now struggle if I have to use metal ones - can just about cope with plastic.
However my plastic ones are all vintage ones and I prefer to look at them rather than use them!!
Am full of cold this morning - first one I've had all year. Am feeling sorry for myself 😞
