had to let gas man in, had no gas since 9 last night

Daughter SIL and Grandson have left now.

we have hot water

house hasnt warmed up yet, but the heating  is back on and it wont take long

I'm really glad I don't live in Scotland, I don't think I could cope.  A week or two of snow was more than enough for me.  Poor Merlin.:-x

i LOVE scotland, and i also love being Scottish

i have a deep set patriotism

i remember the first time i stood in the middle of glencoe

i was so humbled, THIS was my heritage

doesnt get any better than that

it was literally and actually breathtaking

you FEEL it, when you are somewhere like that

😞 at the chickenpops, they were always chickenpops in our house

and the wee mans hat?

my oldest wears one like that

she loves hers!

she got it at the german market here one christmas, and it comes out every winter!

Poor little spotty person. I have only once had Amy here on her own while the rest of them went to Cub Camp. Yes, she got chickenpops! (loving that name.:-)

Love the hat. The ear flaps are very sensible!

ours has been on constantly too shelley

i dont much feel the cold, and sometimes i have felt really hot, but cant risk the pipes freezing

hats like that are great for wee ones learning

they get sore ears so easily, and earache is soooo painful:-(

went out to help a neighbour last week

thought i would only be out a minute so just flung on a zipper

was out about 15 minutes

boy were my ears sore all that night

could done with a nana special hat!

I agree it's beautiful merlin. I love it too and my mum absolutely adored it. Every time anyone went on about the beautiful scenery of Canada or somewhere she would say that Scotland was better than anywhere because all these other places were just bare rock, not lush and green like Scotland.  I just meant the cold and snow, I like to see it falling but I don't like the result! I've been in Glencoe at dawn and it's the nearest place to heaven you'll find down here.

Well its snowing here again (quite heavily) so it looks like were going to have a very white christmas.
 
I'm sure I'll be back later but just in case I want to wish you all a very very "HAPPY CHRISTMAS"  & I'm going to go & finish wrapping present now & wake 2 lazy boys up X-( ]:)

Had a wonderful 'sword' fight with my eldest earlier with the cardboard inners from the wrapping paper. He was a complete giggly jelly be the end of it!!

Glad you are warm again Merlin. It seems there's been loads of heating problems this past week. One of my sisters had no heating for several days last week 😞

Back from Asda. Not too busy & they had everything except red cabbage which was a shame as I was going to do Hippy's recipe.:-) My time is my own now until the family come on Monday.:-D
