morning 😄

learning if you cant get the bath pearls
1st year i did them, i did them with a lolly, the self coloured/see through ones in wrappers
the joy of those is you can push the stick right down the middle
bath pearls are a faff to make stay on as you cannot use anything wet (dab of glue etc as they have a high pva content in the casings) so they melt, and using the sticky pads looks a bit 😐 when they pull them off
they either stick to the flannel, and pull the fibres
or stick to the pearl and burst it when coming off
(or it floats in the bath:^O)

i'm going to make flavoured chocolate coated stirrers for my snowman soup this year as i am using candy canes for something else
i did woder how many people would stir their hot chocolate with a candy cane? i wouldnt

on a side note

i spent all night dreaming about & thinking about a kitchen machine i was bidding on
an industrial metal machine that makes little pasties and such
i wondered if i was going to win it
and thought about all the wonderful things i could make and potential recipies i could try

woke up this morning and realized i had to totally made the whole thing up:|

))))))))imaginations that think plausibly good things up that arent actually real((((((((((

Thanks for the advice Merlin 🙂

How do you attach your soaps? Still trying to think what else I could use.

i've made the soaps flat backed so the will just sit there
then i will cello them

i have the shrink wrap stuff (you blast with a hairdryer?)
but it looks rubbish on round things

this year i am making mine in the (i think 2nd size) of ice cream tubs not the wee tiny ones, i have used muffin wrappers in the past and they can be fragile
i want to do swirly ones this year with 2 flannels and they are obviously bigger, so thought these might do the trick

maybe should have tried it out before now:^O

Merlin you have a message on FB. I hope it makes sense! lol

Lovely warm & sunny day here. Damson has survived two nights of being terrified by fireworks. I hope that is the end of the wicked things!

Have a good day everyone.:-D

Morning ladies.:-D

It was lovely and sunny here at 8am (I know that because there was a little gap in the curtains and the sun was shining in:^O)  When I got up an hour later it was very dark and raining, and now the sun is shining again,:-D  Lottie had another shaky night too.  She wouldn't go out for a wee even though I went first with a piece of chicken. I had to carry her out in the end, but at least she 'performed' before she shot in again.:^O  Even when she eventually settled down in her bed, about midnight, she had her eyes wide open and her ears cocked!

THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Hi everyone.  Thank you for some fabby ideas for presents for my little girls teachers for christmas.  I did her nursery teachers sock monkies when she left, but the reception staff don't seem sock monkey people.  I am going flannel shopping next week, wilkinsons website says they do 3 flannels for a pound so I am going for brown and cream.  I have seen a yule log done like that that looks very effective.

I have loads and loads of plain socks from when I have bought multipacks for monkey making so I am thinking of doing some sort of cupcake arrangement as part of my sisters pressie as I know she goes through socks like something not right.

Has anyone seen any christmassy soaps about cheapish like snowflakes or something that I could put in with the christmas logs?

Back to the monkey making  last one for hand finishing now before I am back to the machine sewing more.

Have a fab sunday everyone

oh  Merlin,  I once dreamt how to solve a maths puzzle we had at school on a computer game that nobody could do, it was a code room and it was really hard as you couldnt do anything as it was gobbledy gook that came on the screen when we typed in.  I dreamt that if I typed out each letter one at a time and then wrote down the symbol I could solve the code.  It worked  I was the only one of our year that knew how to do it.  I traded the solution to classmates for other rooms that I hadnt solved yet.  You never know  x
