THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Just got back from town, swim and food shop and I am shattered.  The decorator is working hard.  He'd done the front hall when I got back and he's now working on the inner hall.  After that, it will be a battle in my bedroom.

It's been pouring down here and driving from one supermarket to another, the rain was pounding down.  At least it's stopped now and I hope we don't get much more or I won't need to be going to the health club tomorrow.

Oooops, not good pcc, we had one outside of our local shop once, beats me how no one seems to see them doing it.  My OH banned me from using cash points years ago, now I just get cashback or If I need more I trail into town to get it from the Building society which is a pain but much safer.

There was a cash point in one of our local shops and somebody tried to steal the whole machine!!  The shop has recently changed hands and they've put another cash machine in at the side of the post office counter.  It will be interesting to see how long this one lasts.

It must be quite rare though. I have been using them since they were invented & had no problems. That reminds me I must get some cash out for my holiday.Woman Happy

Well Motability have got back to me, and they say it is all in the way that the garage word the request for replacement of the back door handle and switch. If they refer to the switch as "defective" or "faulty" the repair will be authorised under "wear and tear". If they refer to the part as broken, Motability will assume mis-use and will refuse to authorise the repair.

I actually suspect that the cause of the problem is that someone has tried to break-in to the car, but if I tell Motability that they will insist that should be an insurance claim.

Madness, but I shall instruct the garage to be extremely careful how they word future requests for replacement parts!

Motability also insisted that they had no record of my car having a hoist fitted - they paid for the hoist to be transferred from the previous vehicle to the current one. I was given a lecture that the old hoist should not have been be re-used, that a new one should have been fitted - what a ridiculous waste of money!

CB, I don't think mum thinks I'm 10.  I'd have said around 5!!!  Smiley LOL

Couldn't agree with you more about wasting money Stroppy.  Honestly, these firms really annoy me over things like that as well.  A firm I used to work for, the Managing Director used to turn the thermostat up for the heat and put sticky tape over it.  It was really hot in the office.  At least he was paying for the heating but it was a waste.

Busy clearing the breakfast room ready for my live in decorator next week. It looks really grubby with bare walls. Chilly b& dry here today so I was able to put some washing out.

THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.  I was up just before 7am.  I was out at 8am as I had put petrol in the car.  I then went to town for a couple of bits after which I went for swim.  I had to get back home early as I had to take my mum for blood tests at the doctors at 10.30.  After I'd dropped my back off at home, I went to meet a couple of friends for lunch.  Just waiting for the decorator to finish now then we can get sorted hopefully.  I am hoping that I can sleep in my own bed tonight as the sofa bed was so uncomfortable last night.  My back's still suffering.  Never mind.  There are a lot worse than me.  Quite a busy day so far today.

I was up about 8.15 as usual.  Did a little housework, read the paper, did the sudoku then went and did my fifty lengths at 10.00.  I haven't actually done anything since then!!  Woman LOL

The decorator has just finished.  He even spent two hours helping us to put my bed back together.  At least I should be in my own bed tonight thankfully which I could easily get in now as I am shattered.
