THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Evening all.  I've had a busy day and I'm shattered.  I took my mum to town this afternoon and she walked the legs off me.  As I've said before, my mum's 81 and I'm 55 and she's worn me out.  I went out for a drink with my dad at lunchtime.  I also went for my swim this morning and it was a chatty morning.  It's a relief to sit down now and relax for a while now.

We've had showers on and off all day and there is a bit of a breeze now.  It was lovely first thing but it has changed a bit from about lunchtime.

Sorry that you're back in hospital Stroppy but I am glad that the iron tablets are working for the anaemia.  Hope that you soon feel better.

Hugs to all that need them.

One of the doctors went to Sainsbury's, bought apple crumble and cream for me. He even managed to figure out how to warm it up in the staff microwave.

I'm deliciously full now, and really sleepy.

I usually only get service like that in A & E, but they are really being good to me.

Morning all.

Glad that you got your crumble Stroppy.  You really are being well looked after.

Tis a bit dull and on the cool side here at the moment.  Definitely autumnal again.  Well we are in September so it's to be expected.

I have to go to the doctor's lately for a biopsy on a patch of eczema that I've had for several years now.  The doctor's told me not to worry over it as it's nothing sinister and he just wants to decide what the best course of treatment is.

I'll be back later and hugs to all that need them.

Don't know how they managed it, but doctors turned up with eggs benedict for breakfast - really scrummy.

They've decided that they will put a catheter in to make me more comfortable. Currently there is an argument going on about who is to do it. Nursing staff want the doctors to do it, doctors want to ask the theatre technicians to do it. My vote goes to the theatre techs - they always manage first time and don't hurt me.

Ooo yumm eggs benedict, looks like they treating you extra specially this time stroppy as that doesn'nt sound like NHS catering.

You think you've got problems keeping up with your mum books ! my MIL is 97 and when I got in from work last night she had her whole kitchen emptied and ouside on the lawn as she felt it need a "spring clean". That included emptying every cupboard to wipe down , only prob then was it was down to me to put it all away as it was getting dark as she' been at it all day Smiley Surprised

Afternoon all.

Glad that you enjoyed your eggs benedict this morning Stroppy.

It's a bit blustery here at the moment.  It's quite bright though.

Stan, that definitely sounds like my mum.  She wears me out as I've said.

Went for my biopsy this morning.  As luck would have it, our GP did it and he was very gentle.  I have to wait for ten days for the results.

Steph's just rung.  Her nan's second husband went out for a walk this morning and was knocked down and killed.  Steph's upset especially as it's so close to the wedding.  At the reception, we were supposed be sitting at the same table as Steph's nan and her husband.  Don't know when the funeral is yet but Steph will let me know.

Morning all.  Quite cloudy here at the moment but it doesn't feel as cold.

We've got a leak under the kitchen sink and, as we pay extra to the water company to cover such things, they are coming to fix it this morning.

Hugs to all that need them

Morning. Nice day again but you can feel autumn in the air. Going to have a go making Blackberry Shortcake leter as I have to take something to a shared lunch on Thursday. Do you think some oats would be ok instead of walnuts?
