THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.

Glad that you're out of hospital Swishy Twishy.  Don't overdo things and relax as much as possible.

Sorry that you've not been well CK and I hope that you are soon 100% fit.

Been out for lunch today.  Mum and I both had steak, chips, mushy peas, onion rings, tomato and mushrooms  for £9 for both meals.  Nice it was too.

Been to the doctor's this afternoon for a medication review which was actually done last month but it wasn't updated on the computer.  Also, the doc has updated the records due to my toe and he's given me some cream for eczema on my chest.  I have to go back and see him about that at the end of the month.  I am convinced if I was a horse, I'd have been shot years since.

Sorry, nipped out to post a letter.

I forgot to say how nice those shoes look, there are so many lovely flats around atm & I can't wear flats Smiley Sad

Yes I'm gutted, I knew it wasn't going to be forever but I expected more than 2days notice that it was happening anytime soon ....... mind you I think they all were, the plan was for her to resume Uni in March but she recieved a phonecall from her tutor earlier in the week saying if she could manage to start again in Sept then she could carry on where she left off rather than start the whole year again ...... make sense I suppose, so after a day of panicking & a day of trawling through flats on rightmove, she got a couple of viewing booked for this weekend, an appointment with her tutor on Mon & off they have gone Smiley Sad

Son says he will stay here for now, he knows he'd be a fool to give his job up but I know it will only take a couple of "I'm lonely & don't like being on my own " phone calls & who knows Smiley Frustrated   Most of her work will be placement work & they have promised her weekends off because of Imogen ........... can only wait now & see how things go  Smiley SadSmiley SadSmiley SadSmiley SadSmiley Sad

Oh CK I am sorry as I know how much you've enjoyed having son home with you and how much you love and adore little Imogen.

I can see the sense in re-starting Uni in Sept and not having to sit the year again ,just a shame she couldn't do it in a Uni closer to you .

Am sure though that you will now be having plenty of holidays and week-ends away................

I'm all behind now (or just slow to understand)  Glad you're feeling better ck.  Now, what course is she doing??  How's she going to do a course and look after a baby by herself???  Even if Imogen is in a nursery, she's still got the washing and cleaning and cooking and feeding and being up in the night if necessary.  How is she going to manage all that work when she's not been used to it at all?

Glad you're home twishy, how come you were in so long??  I bet it was the food you couldn't resist, or was there a particular doctor you had your eye on?????Smiley Wink

Which Uni is she at CK?  Is it John Moores?  Our local hospital has a department which is called JMU or John Moores University.  Hope that everything works out CK.

Hugs to all that need them.

Yes thats the one Books Smiley Happy

I'm sure its not by choice Merc, although see says it is ...  I'm sure the fact that if she doesn't go back she will have to pay back all her maternity allowance she's recieved has a lot to do with it too  ...... its nhs funded & its a lot Smiley Surprised

that & the fact her Mum keeps telling her she has too ....... & she listens to her Mum & cares about what she thinks of her  Smiley Indifferent

As some of you may know, Carol ( Rainydaywoman ), is going into hospital tomorrow for her stem cell harvest.

She is naturally feeling scared & worried, & gawd knows what other emotions.

She has asked me to pass on a wee message to you all...

" I don't know what I would have done these past months without all you great girls "

I know we will all be thinking about her tomorrow, & are sending our love & prayers.

I'm here....and I'm shattered!sleepy smiley.gif I didn't get in from work until after 3 and by the time we'd had lunch it was gone 4pm. I fell asleep on the couch for an hour and then started all the cakes and muffins.

I iced the buttercream all nice and lovely onto the cakes but it's so hot the fancy pattern the nozzle makes seems to be goingdoh smiley.gifStill I've made them and tbh they look quite nice!

I'm absolutely pooped but happy I could do them. OH says the muffins I've made for the Guide Dogs stand are fab so that's a blessing, I always have to make extra for him or he sulkslaffin smiley.gif

Zoe going to nursery.jpgBear with me, I don't know how to do photos on my new lappy.  I just saw these on face book that my son had put on, I thought it was quite cute.  He said this was his little daughter on her first day at nursery two years ago...............................hopefully there'll be another one on the next post..............................

Sha reminds me of Amy on the second one. Lovely pictures.

I am shattered! We are doing a boot sale tomorrrow Then coming home to cooke a big roast pork dinner. Jerry has worked hard this week as have we & everything in the sheds is sorted & much tidier.  I shant say no to a nice rest next week though.

We went up in the Weymouth Sealife Tower today. We got some free tickets which was handy as it's never worth the £7+ they charge to go up.

Off to rest my aching bones now.

It's nice to see them, especially when you get jobs done, but it's nice when it's all quiet and peaceful again isn't it.  We used to have energy like they have, ....it just seems like it was a long time ago!Smiley Happy
