Hello all, I'm all showered and ready for bed, very tired now but at least garden is tidy.
Books - I kept meaning to say - your Mum's problem with her teeth sounds horribly painful. It's been a long time since I had any dental problems (please God no), so I hope your Mum gets the treatment and cure she needs. You sound like a very patient woman, always a vacancy here if you get fed up:-p
Maggie this is for you hoo
These are my winter flowering pansies, they were put in last October. Still too cold here for annuals, although I have scattered my usual mix of cornflowers, California poppies and love in a mist.
Apart from the various primulas, rhodies and some daffs, we still have no colour in our border, the tulips are still in bud. I have a row of Kilmarnock willows and they are only now making leaf - no buds (pussy willow). Unheard of for this time of the year
Back to watching 11 daft men and a ball..

What lovely pansies. I just love their little faces. I have california poppies & love in a mist too.:-D Mine seed themselves every year.

Yes Maggie, mine self seed too, my garden is (deliberately) messy/countryish. My neighbours on both sides have immaculate 'park like' gardens. Not a weed or a stray leaf to be seen. I drive Carol next door nuts.
Tell you what, I'll go round and take a photo of her borders tomorrow - it is so beautifully kept. She has pots she cleans every day.
I just can't believe those pansies and violas have now been flowering for 6 months, although, even when I'm not great, I do dead head them. We did have sun today, but it is still so cold.
Bad night for my footie :-(: off to bed now, night night xx.

Night carol. I hope you sleep well. My garden is a happy muddle.:-)

Morning all.
RDW, thank you for asking about my mum. The pain isn't too bad at the moment but I think we are both dreading next Thursday. Having the patience of a saint is the main qualification for living here but she is 80 with a serious heart condition. When I go for my swim, my parting words to her are 'Don't do too much'. When I get back, she tells me that she's done all kinds of jobs and that she doesn't feel so good. She then wonders why I go mad with her. I gave up counting to 10 years back. If I could get up to yours Carol, believe me I would. Rant over for the time being.
BTW. rainy love your plants. Both our front and back gardens are messy or countryish as we don't like regimented gardens. One of our neighbours very often stops to look at our garden when she's walking her dog. She always says that every time you look at our garden, you see something different.

sometime i think straight lines and tidyness are for people with too much time, or with too much on their minds and they need the distraction of making sure its neat
even the earths round, there are not many straight lines in nature
Books although she may get tired its good that she is still able to do stuff
hope Waspy is doing better, the shock of a sudden death is harder than when a pet has been ill and you can prepare for it
(((everyone)))
wheres merlin got to and is numptz better yet?

Good morning! Had a lovely evening last night which was unexpected on a Tuesday! First quickie at the pub on the way home, then best friend/next door neighbour came round, then OH cooked, then.....lucky the boys were out! Ended up with me having a couple too many wines and declaring my love for OH on Facebook. Deleted it now! No one died but the boys are giving me grim looks about the Facebook comment! All I can say is thank goodness they didn't walk into the living room an hour earlier:-) happy days!
