I have just got back from the hospital and had a knock from a neighbour with a delivery for me.
Thank you so much everyone - my eyes are leaking :-x
Good news is that Mum seems considerably better with minimal confusion. We still need to find out if there is any permanent damage, but, like Gina's Mum, they are now assessing her needs to talk about the future.:-D

Stan, is the roof sorted? don't want a drip in bed with you do ya:^O
the road out of our village is a mess, it looks as if someone decided to dig the gullies clear and the mess washed into the middle of the road!!!
and some part of the banking has given way outside of Bodnant gardens!! other than that we're all doing OK.

Nope still a drip drip dripping and can't get a roofer still Sat , just hope the roof doesn't get worse or give way before then.:-(
Thankfully it is in the spare room but you tend to focus on the noise and I can see why the used it as a form of torture as it sends you dotty :_|

Hello all you luverly girlies. Sorry about your leak stan - you're right about the dripping noise - we had it for a week once and it drove me round the bend - hope you get it sorted soon.
Nice to receive the flowers isn't it? Just when you're feeling totally carp and then have something lovely as a surprise.
Thanks Calico Von - I'm not too bad I guess. I was down to 200 and getting quite worried. When they put me in the ward it was the same doc I'd seen when I was in before - Dr Brown - everyone says he has a fearsome reputation but he's a pussycat with me. He's very James Bond - totally immaculate - he caught me writing my journal one day and asked did I keep it daily - I said no just sporadically - but I had put him down described as James Bond - so I'm lying there - again - and this loud voice said - 'Ah it's my little friend Miss Moneypenny' :^O Star treatment. He also said my lungs have been affected by all the chemicals and sawdust and stuff from when ex and I did up houses. Did I wear a mask - eeerm no.
The heart thing was a reaction to one of the pills I was taking - which I worked out myself - it's not completely necessary - anti nausea for the chemo - and I've been ok since I stopped it.
So thanks for the advice.

Hey stan, have you tried hanging a piece of wool from the drip.? Stick it to the ceiling with a bit of blue-tack, sellotape wouldn't stick on the wet ceiling. Run the piece of wool into the bucket et voila.....no dripping sound!;-)
