Learning, some info that might help. When my mum was first moved from intensive care, she was hallucinating (she swears that Danny Boyle was re-making Slumdog Millionaire with the indian lady in the next bed!), rambling & had a fall as she tried to walk whilst she was disorientated. My daughter told the docs, who said it was because of the high doses of medication that she was on. They've now reduced the drugs & mum is back to normal (or as normal as she ever was)

Same with my mum. They were over medicating her & she thought the patients were being beaten at night in the ward next door. Most disturbing. It took the Macmillan nurse to sort it out as the ward nurses just laughed & thought it was funny.:-(

That just reminded me!!!:O  When I was in hospital I sat up all night terrified because there were snipers hiding all over the place.  Our hospital has  screwed down, locked metal boxes on the tops of the bedside lockers (I don't know what they're for) but mine was talking and the ward clock was going backwards!  I told my daughter the next day and she told the nurse.  I told her not to because she was 'one of the terrorists', but the nurse told her it was the medication I was on. ;\

the screwed down locked boxes are to lock your medication in so that the nurses aren't wheeling a big trolley full of drugs around. My mums little locked cupboard looks like a mini branch of Boots chemist, tablets, needles & ampoules of calcium & stuff for her nebuliser

More blooming fireworks tonight. It's so unfair to the poor animals that are so distressed.:-(

Forgot Diwali. Lets hope that's the end of it now.:-)

I should think that I could do them with most candlesticks Ruth. As long as you don't mind me selling them once they are upcycled.:-D

Lovely pin stands but could I just put my oar in and say  all brass and other candlesticks, even odd ones are VERY collectable and make very  good prices on eBay. (from 7.50 upwards) Could you use dowel with 2 circles of wood ?

Morning all.

Very frosty morning here when I first got up but the sun is starting to break through now.

Lovely makes Maggie and will keep my eye out for candlesticks at the car booty's and charity shops.

Have been to our local big car booty this morning but only thing I ended up buying was a cup of tea to warm me up.

Morning

Thanks for the advice Gina. Mum seems to be slowly improving, but the demons are still there every night. I'm not convinced it's just an infection, but someone told me that because she has had her thyroid removed, the symptoms are more pronounced.

Not sure if that's true or not.

Hugs for all the Mums and poorly peeps in here :-x
