Good morning. Hugs to all especially those with 'mum' related glums. it's my Dads birthday today but he died 8 years ago too. He died on the 29th November and for the first two years we struggled up to his patch in the crematorium on the date in wind and rain. Have now persuaded my Mum to have a bunch of flowers next to his photo on his birthday instead! Never felt he was 'there' and hated the cheap flower shop there and leaving flowers on a bleak hillside.

Thanks for all the good wishes for Mum. She got worse on Thursday and I wanted to take her back to hospital, but she refused. She was having dreadful hallucinations and a really bad headache and was really frightened. Very scary.

However she seemed a little better yesterday, so hoping the antibiotics are working.

Damson & I are going into town to help in a street collection for the greyhound rescue. It's a dry day so hopefully there will be plenty of people about.:-D

I've been busy wrapping presents that need posting, I know it's early but it takes so long to do them!

I've written some cards out too...I always post them on Dec 1st and if I forget anyone I have plenty of time to post them.

My real father was a beast who died at 52. Mum re-married the most wonderful man...& HE was my dad.

I spoke to mum every day...Shipman took away my best friend, my childrens only Grandparents, & he ruined my life irrepairably.

It still goes on...& there is no closure for me.

I'm sorry that this is not a great posting, but that is how it it is for me.

Oh Merc, I don't know what to say 😞  I'm so sorry and that doesn't seem enough.  What an dreadful thing to happen to you and your family.  You are such a lovely person, I'm sure your Mum was too and the lovely man you called and was your Dad :-x

I am on the hunt for cheap candlesticks/holders. This is why.

I am thinking they might sell. Especially if I can get some vintage candlesticks to use.:-)
