Morning all
Well done and congrats to Bradley, you must be very proud merlin.:-x.
Miss s is applying for her student finance as we speak and will be in so much debt by the time she finishes uni that I do worry about her wealth to repay it once qualified as a teacher 😞

having the structure we have, has had an effect though
because universities are so in demand, they can pick the cream of the crop, this has resulted in uni's getting much better results, so now attract a big percentage of international students
we have well over 30% international postgrad students as university population now
its not the "free for all" that people think it is, pardon the pun

Our lovely little Russian lady has come back from her daughter's wedding (the one we were supposed to go to but got out of on cost!). She brought OH hand knitted socks, a bottle of lethal loking vodka, four balls of lovely lavender colour locally spun wool, a huge ball of silver threadand the most beautiful shawl I have ever seen!

Well done to Bradley 😄
Youngest here is awaiting A level results too ..... I'm not expecting there to be any As, Bs or even Cs if I was honest & although he has applied to Uni's I really don't expect him to get in 😐
infact if I wwas truly honest I don't want him too 😐
I just don't think he's focused enough & will just end up with loads of debt & still no prospects at the end of it 😞
A yes, I do feel mean saying that after his Brother has just done so well but they are both sooooooo different
Wonders what colour hair Maggie will go for 🙂 & still waiting to see a pic of Twishy's :8}

Not quite as dark as it was cos it's been washed n washed n washed n....you get the idea...
but 'natural light ash brown' it certainly aint 😐

Well done to Bradley. I would loved to have gone to uni.
Don't think green hair would suit anyone 😐
The Russian shawl is very similar to Shetland lace/cobweb knitting. Very pretty.
I did one for my son, very fine yarn, 1 or 2 ply, very long needles. I don't know where I ever got the patience. They are worth a lot of money now if you want the real thing knitted. Traditionally you were supposed to be able to pull the shawl through your wedding ring.
