THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

It just said on the weather forecast that it's going to get hot and sunny Wednesday onwards, but I don't know about next week.  Let's hope it continues.:-)

I usually go for books set in the 40s/50s/60s.  I've liked all the Joan Jonker ones ( Newcastle area) and the Helen Forrester ones (Liverpool area)  They remind me of my childhood.:-D

I love all those authors too!  When I first heard about fifty shades of grey I thought it was a colour chart for paint.  I couldn't figure out how there were fifty shades of the colour grey :^O

I have just complained to the BBC about their commentators pronouncing athletes...atherletes or athaletes. It is driving me mad! lol Am I  turning into a grumpy old woman?

A lad near burst from a great thrutch
What issued from his bowels
Was given birth with such howls
T'was heard cross the channel by the Dutch.

evening everyone,

well what lovely things are being created by you all, those curtains and the cushion are lovely well done you lot!!

I've read the first grey book, load of rubbish, that's not writing that's drivel.....

I can never remember the author of the book I read, as I'm on to the next one real quick, I love reading, I like historical books, and other stuff too, the only ones I don't like are Catherine Cookson type books.

You'd need a pattern for the cables though, unless she's learned them off by heart.  Lovely  Mags.

Just sat down with my pootah and find I've got those silvery sparkley things going across my vision.  Might have been with straining my eyes reading the bedtime story without my glasses on.  I couldn't face going back up two flights of stairs to get them!  It's gone now!:O  😄

I get those CG. I have to take paracetamol & close my eyes for a while. I think they are called optical migraines.

I only get them very occasionally Maggie but I never get a headache with them.  It's gone now, they only last about 5 minutes.

I know what you mean Maggie & CG, it's like strobing where you can't focus. Had it at work a few times, very hard to do any work as I czn't see what I'm reading. Also don't get headaches with it.
