I usually go for books set in the 40s/50s/60s.  I've liked all the Joan Jonker ones ( Newcastle area) and the Helen Forrester ones (Liverpool area)  They remind me of my childhood.:-D

No Kindle Tara & not much time to read these days. It's something I only seem to manage on holiday or if I am poorly. Thank you for the offer though.:-D

Taking youngest to the doctors in ten minutes. I have a feeling he might have glandular fever and am hoping it isn't! Keep your fingers crossed!

He's OK it's a sudden eruption of wisdom teeth! Painful and giving him swelling and a horrible headache but nothing dangerous or catching! The last time he went to the doctor was 7 years ago! Bad mum! I always say, you'll be fine and send them off to school!

Evening all.

Your curtains are really lovely Tara.  Did you make the little string of hearts too?  I'm decorating the bathroom and am fed up already!  Only been doing it a day- too many fiddly bits to paint around.

Nice to see numptz back and hope you had a good hol.  If you like to read Cornwell & Connolly - you should try Donna Leon (set in Venice) or James Lee Burke (set in Louisiana) - they are fabby books.

Bedroom and kitchen looking fab hightara,I also have the same storage/racking in pub kitchen as it's so versatile and keeps surfaces free of clutter.

Weather supposed to change for the better on Wednesday and hope it's true as eldest lad and family going to Cornwall for 5 days with eldest grandaughter and all she wants to do is go to the beach and swim.

Glad it's just the teeth huggles. My son had glandular fever when he was about 17/18.  I've got a photo of him laying on the sofa and he looks terrible!:^O

Lovely curtains tara.  That rack looks very handy, can you reach the top?
