THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I don't remember my milk coming in with the boys so they must have been guzzling every drop as it appeared. When Amberley was born (arrived sleeping but I'm sure most of you know that) I woke up on day five with two blazing watermelons on my front! For some reason the doctor came that day instead of a midwife I guess and told me it was OK he could give me some tablets to make it 'all go away'. I don't suppose he'll ever forget my answer to that!

She would be twenty next month. Those tablets didn't work!

Too true numpts, how do you get over something like that.:-(

(((huggles)))

I don't remember my midwives, only doctors running in, fastening their trousers and putting their white coats on, slipping on the eight pints of blood on the floor!  It was like a blood bath. After they'd literally saved my life and I was wheeled out of the room the matron asked how I was. Isn't it stupid how you're brought up to answer that question automatically with 'I'm fine thanks :-D'

I didn't know much else for three days.  I don't like childbirth.:|

I answered the same CG after Amber died. Doctors and midwives were saying sorry & I was just saying, it's Ok, I'm fine as if I had a cold! Went back to the maternity wing a few weeks later to donate some things & I saw the doctor who delivered her. He obviously recognised me but couldn't remember why so he just said 'hello, nice to see you again, hope it's all going well' & I just wanted to thump him against the wall!

Two of the midwives came to her funeral which was nice.
