Morning Numpty.

Morning all

I am off to the seaside (Porthmadog) in a bit, sadly not for a day out but to deliver spare parts to a silly engineer who forgot them.

Morning all. Misty & damp here today.

I think flat shoes are the cause of my foot pain so I need something with more foot support & a bit of a heel. Those balet type shoes are very pretty though.:-)

I can't walk in flats either Maggie, I walk like a duck in them! I can't wear heels either, so I've ended up in walking boots!!! I have some sandals I wear if we go out anywhere posh  but I don't like "doos" either.

Damsons tummy is silent today! She had fish & rice to eat yesterday which seems to have settled it down. I still wonder what it was she ate!:_|

I don't do 'posh' either CB. I can look presentable when I have to but thankfully I seldom have to! lol:^O

Morning all.  I've never really thought about problems with my feet - although I had an accident once and broke a bone (metatarsal) and it was blooming painful - for months.  Sometimes if I've been on my feet all day it still hurts.

Friend wears LK Bennett, small heels (cost a fortune) or wedges cos she doesn't get on with flat flats.

It can be a problem with a big quilt Merlin. If you cut your wadding & backing roughly to size (a bit bigger than the quilt top) it might be easier to handle. I always spray baste my layers together which saves pinning & tacking. The stuff is called 505 spray. Don't get it on the furniture though. I cheat by taking mine to the quilt group in the village hall & do it there but I guess you don't have that option. You could do it in two halves. Roll one half up, spray the three layers together then roll the stuck side & do the same to the unstuck side.

Failing all that post it to me! :^O

Merlin could you lay it out on a double bed ive sometimes done that with bigger quilts .  Then once its sprayed it can be folded to make it managable like Maggie said 🙂

It will stay together much better if you spray baste it! Don't forget you must quilt the layers together before you bind it or it will pucker. I hope you have a thin, flat wadding & not that horrible puffy stuff!
