17 CG, she'll be 18 on 6th May:-)

She was very weepy today, her body keeps rejecting the canulas so she like a firkin pin cushion cuz they have to keep moving it. They put one in wrong and they were pumping fluids into the flesh ffs:_|

That happened to me when daughter was born. I had one in the back of my hand.  My wrist was splinted to keep it straight and all was wrapped in a big bandage.  When they took the bandage off, all the stuff had gone into my hand.  It looked like a balloon!:O

Has she got a TV? At our hospital, every bed has a TV hanging down from a bracket.  You pay your money and you can watch TV with headphones on.  It helps to pass the time.

yes CG, a tv and a phone and they've set up the phone now so she can make free calls to landline numbers. She's just rung to speak to Beau and her dad so little man has gone to bed feeling a little better:-)

Her dad ain't seen her yet as all the car parks were full again and we couldn't risk getting clamped:-( so he just dropped me off at 3.30 and came back at 7.30:-)

Our car park's like that.:-(  Hubby has to go for a bone scan tomorrow.  He has to go just to get an injection in the morning (that shows up in the bones) and it only takes 10 minutes, so daughter is going to drive him there, then just drive round and round the car park 'till he comes out again!  He'll take himself in the afternoon when he has the scan because that takes a lot longer, but he'll have to be there in plenty of time to try and find a place to park.:|

Our hospital is impossible to get a parking space even disabled ones & none are free parking at all . ... beggers belief that you could be in need of A&E help but cant park the car X-(

I am soooo tired, kept waking up and checking my phone in case she needed me cuz my ears are bad*surprise surprise* and I wouldn't hear it if it rang:-(

Numpty - just been reading back. Hope there's some better news for H today. Poor kid. Even the canula thing will seem worse for her at the moment - always does when you hurt already.

(BTW I have a massive bruise where mine was last week - for a tiny slightly built nurse she sure was vicious!).

I managed to ride my bike yesterday 🙂 and no ill effects today. So I'm heading out again later and going back to my voluntary job in the charity shop for a few hours 🙂

Towery - they were talking about drought on the local news last night. Western parts of our counties are in the drought zone - tbh I think the eastern parts are too - we've really not had that much rain recently - apart from a couple of downpours last week. If you dig down in the garden a couple of inches its dry 😞

Just finished icing MrH's birthday cake - the top is a chocolate ganche - OMG its scrummy and very rich - even a teaspoon of the stuff (for testing purposes) is enough.
