where else can you get hours of entertainment on tap if you want it for a couple of pounds a week

Too late to collect Damson so she will have to spend another night in kennels. Another £9 to pay too!

My son popped in to see me today with his daughter from Portsmouth.  She told me she came in an aeroplane!!!!:O  It's the first time he's flown alone (except when learning)  I'm glad he didn't tell me before he did it but I know he'll be taking her back again tomorrow.:_|  She obviously didn't know she was flying here and one of the first questions she asked when they got in the air was.........................................................'Isn't there a DVD player?:-('

Belated happy birthday to Gina 🙂

😮 @ CG's son piloting all by himself. Lucky grand-daughter 🙂

Busy doing nothing much again - resting foot and sewing/crocheting. Rather too warm for either at the moment but not much choice!

3 weeks left in plaster and then they'll take it off and see if its healed up. If so then its time for physio so my foot can return to a normal angle. Trying not to think what if its not healed!!

Normally I think how lovely it would be to have loads of time to make stuff - however the reality is less appealing. Probably just due to lack of mobility - I can't easily get at supplies in sewing room. However I do plan to spend some time in there tomorrow finding all sorts of bits so I can start making a few christmassy bits for my folksy shop.  Need to raise some funds as I'm skint at the moment and can't do my little cleaning job 😞

3 weeks probably seems ages away but it will pass quickly, hopefully all will be well and part of your phsyio will be running up and down stairs collecting your latests bits for your makes.

You could have done with a small work box next to you with the days bits & pieces in, mind having said that, when weve got everything in front of us, westill want something else lol

Don't wish to depress you hippy but the friend I told you about had to wear a moon boot for another six weeks once the plaster came off.  Mind you, he snapped his, I think you said you'd done something different didn't you? so perhaps you'll miss the moon boot out. Even with it you'll be much more mobile than you are now won't you.:-D

I've been struggling all day to do something that should have taken me half an hour!  After doing it wrong and having to unpick it, and it was triple stitching so that it would be stronger, and then the overlocker kept clunking and coming unthreaded. I can't even see the eyes never mind thread them, so had to keep waiting until hubby could come in and do it.  Then we realised that one of the needles was slightly bent.  Put two new needles in and it went like a dream.:-D

CG - I could cope with a moon boot - least it would mean I could walk without the crutches and it could come off at night. It does depend on which Ortho person you see at the hospital - some favour this approach and others done - mind doesn't often use them but its not ruled out. Mind was just partially torn.

Would be happy to be mobile indoors even if I couldn't walk into town & back. I could get lifts and just potter around the shops I like.
