It could be because this thread is so long now? I remember having problems years ago on the longer chatty threads.

Perhaps time for a Sewing Thread part 2??

Ebay seem to have been fiddling for the last couple of days. I haven't had any problems here though.

I remember merlin.  Aw, 8lb 4oz at six months, that was what my daughter was at birth, and she was 20lb at three months!:_|

This little baby (he hasn't got a name yet) is apparently doing well. They'd given the mother steroids for his lungs as she'd lost a baby before, so they were keeping a special eye on her.

It is!

My aunt, who was born nearly eighty years ago was 4lb and was literally wrapped in cotton wool and bathed in olive oil. She's always been as healthy as anyone else and has three strapping sons!:-D

morning ladies:-D

cotton wool & olive oil?

cant work out the benefit, simulating being in the womb perhaps? warm, moist soft environment?

they used to alieviate symptoms of pneumonia wrapping you in cotton wool and turpentine oil

whatever the reason, it has to be something to do with the saying "wrapping them in cotton wool"??

😞 Gems

beasties love me as well

get yourself the GREEN avon SSS oil

i have tried everything known to man

can you imagine how many midges i encountered sitting at the side of scottish lochs at dusk when i fished?

tis weird to put on, you think you will be oily but you're not

cant say i am a fan of Avon but a friend who owns a fishery always has a couple of dozen bottles now and no longer stocks the usual shoo etc

took the guys some convincing, but they could see they no longer bothered me (you wear a peaked hat  to keep the glare off the water, midges love to congrgate under your peak as the light fades)

and if you put it on when you come out the shower, and you are still wet, it really does make your skin incredibly soft

😮 at your sewing machine

are you feeling bereft?
