Welcome back Maggie, hope you had a wonderful time 🙂

I'm shattered today, didnt get more than 2 hours sleep all night, little one had very bad wind, as soon as i settled him and climbed into bed he would stir before i managed to pull the sheet on me 😐 poor little monkey, no doubt i will be asleep for around 10ish tonight.

Welcome back Maggie. 😄 I got out bid on all your MDCC items. 😞 I'll try harder next time.

I'm waiting in for my Mum to call. She has had terrible cystitus for 10 days & antibiotics haven't shifted it. I tried to get her something from the pharmacist but he said she needs a doctor. She's too uncomfortable for me to drive her to A&E so they're going to do a home visit. She's been waiting all day.

I want a glass of wine but I can't in case I have to go & get a prescription for her.

I been over to her 3 times with pain killers, a hot water bottle and cranberry juice.

There's something you can get at the chemist to help cystitis, powder mixed into water and drink.

Had blackberries with custard one day and with meringue today 🙂

Does anyone else's message order [oldest/newest] change as and when it feels like it?? Mine has always been newest first but now sometimes it just reverts itself to oldest!!!  aaaaaargh!

Hope it's not going to be one-of-those-days :_|

Morning.

Finally got more antibiotics for Mum last night so I hope they kick in.

I'm cross with the doctors at the moment but she, typically of someone of nearly 82, thinks they are gods.

She had a letter a few weeks ago saying that she hadn't had a check up/appointment for 5 years so she went along. They said her blood pressure had gone up (it always has done when she's at the Dr) & they doubled the dose of the tablet she's been on for 13 years.

Since then she's been ill with one thing & another. I want her to go back to her original dose.:-(

the white coat syndrome. Blood pressure always goes up when there are doctors about.

My doc always leaves the room for 5 mins before doing blood pressure & leaves you with instructions to 'flop & relax' whilst he's gone.

evening

this threads been quiet this afternoon

the mum with the blood pressure meds change - i would voice my concerns to her regular doc and ask for a review

most peoples bp rises at the surgery, my OH's  does it every time,   they have been known to  take his bp between 3 or 4 times

we have even taken our own readings in off the arm cuff we got - we took the machine so they can check against theirs (took a weeks worth of readings from the same time of day)
